Very polite and friendly staff and there’s a variety of dishes to accommodate those who do and do not like sushi (ex. fried rice and yakisoba). The food tasted very fresh as well and I look forward to coming again!

This is probably the quintessential Sushi/Japanese restaurant that you're looking for. Portions are leaning towards a slightly overwhelming from a whelmed end but what you see is what you get. Entrees received complimentary miso soup and salad, and service was amazing. I had the chirashi bowl, which is a sashimi lover's ideal entree. There's a selection of assorted fish with 2-3 slabs of fish that rests on top of a sweet and savory mound of sushi rice followed by some pickled veg and fluffy egg. The "hen---/dirty old man" maki was also tasty and mighty filling. Walking in, there's no distinct fish smell, even while being served the meals. There's adequate air conditioning throughout the restaurant to the extent that eating outside has that familiar smell. Short = 6pc

Blufish was amazing. I ordered the filet to share with my husband and he said he didn’t expect me to eat as much as I did. Luckily it was huge. My husband and children ordered rolls and the said they were delicious. The hostess was very polite and our waiter was very nice and attentive. The ambiance of the restaurant and food presentation was also very enjoyable!

One of my favorite sushi places in Illinois. I love this place, elegant atmosphere, great food and service. I suggest you order the blue martini and make sure to ask for black rice on your sushi rolls. The one item you must order is the house salad, the ginger dressing is devine!
