This was my first time at this location and let’s just say…I will be back to explore other options on the menu.

Just picked up food to go but the pizza was just aight, pretty soggy and cheese to sauce ratio was off. Got 2 sides of ranch and one was strong and the other was a watered down version of it. Not consistent and not worth the money I spent for it. Dominos would have been better but I wanted to try something new

Came here recently for a date and was pleasantly surprised. The front entrance doesn’t give the inside any justice. The ambiance was modern and sultry. There is a brick oven in the middle however which is a reminder of the fact that Blue Steel is known for being a Pizzeria. There is music playing but not too loud that you have to put bass in your voice. We were on time with our reservation and were greeted with a smile. We started with drinks and ordered the Hi-Tea and I ordered the Sunset Durango. Both drinks were amazing. I wanted something sweet and strong, and the Sunset Durango did just that. I tried his Hi-Tea and it was on the sweeter side, but it was refreshing. Now onto the best part, the food. He ordered the Supreme pizza and I ordered the Spicy Rigatoni. The wait time for the food wasn’t that long, but even if it took long….it was worth the wait! The Rigatoni was amazing. I have no complaints, besides the portion. The portion could’ve been a little more. I really took my time eating it, because I didn’t want to finish it so quickly. I tried the pizza, and I almost fainted. It was delicious. The sauce, the crust, I am writing this wanting to run across the bridge and get this. In all, I highly Blue Steel for a casual date night, family dinner, or even a solo date. The service, food, and drinks were everything! If I’m in the area, I will be back!!!

Great pizza and friendly service! We tried Detroit-style White and Ricotta and Sausage pizzas. We are not sure which one we liked better, both were equally good. My son had a burger which he thoroughly enjoyed, and he is hard to please when it comes to food. We weren't overly impressed by the Crispy Cola wings, and the cocktail drinks were quite disappointing. After filling the glass with the ice and juice, they must have had room for perhaps a drop or two of alcohol. We didn't think they were worth the money we paid.

Been in a few times and the food is great! Love the pizza and appetizers. The cola wings are especially good. Definitely worth checking out!

I am from Texas and this pizza rocks. Service us great, friendly informative. Everything was great. Highly recommend.

Vegetarian options: every pizza can be customized . Wheelchair accessibility: its on street level, however the bathrooms are downstairs.

UPDATE: This is my favorite place to get cocktails in the Montclair area. Recently, my dad and I arrived early for jazz and got the entire second floor to ourselves! It was awesome! The Hi Tea cocktail went something like this… As I approach the glass, the smell of mint wafted into my nose in a pleasing way. The first sip of the liquid sparkled and moved on my tongue like fairies dancing. There was a pleasantly sweet flavor, followed quickly by a more savory herbal component and it left an aftertaste that made us feel that all is well. Previous review: Very nice cocktails at blue steel pizza company. Didn’t get a chance to try the food. They didn’t have all the ingredients for the two cocktails I wanted to try, but the bartender was able to make adjustments and it was a good experience. Got a reservation for outdoors even though it was cold, but there were only a few people indoors so there was plenty of space to stay 15 feet away from anyone else. All employees were wearing masks properly. Very safe during Covid.

Tried for the first time as a date night spot, it was perfect! The food and drinks are outstanding, the staff is top notch. The ambiance is so inviting. I will definitely go back and try to get into the little speakeasy/lounge area they had next time!
