Blue Lagoon Fish & Chips (Gordon Street)

Rude waiters - we had 2 different waiters and both were very rude and did not understand the menu or what we were asking for. It took over 20minutes for someone to come over after our food was finished, at which point they tried to give us a receipt and didn't understand that we wanted dessert. They still didn't clear the table after finally understanding the dessert order. The restaurant was empty and we were the only people in the shop. Food was good but not worth putting up with the service or atmosphere in the restaurant.

Food was top but the service was terrible. We arrived and were told to sit anywhere; due to party size (3) we sat at a dirty table while waiting for our last friend to arrive. The 1st server asked us what we wanted in quite an abrupt way, and we said we were waiting for our friend. She then walked off, leaving us with the old plates. She later returned to take our order and was forcing up sells for items I did not want. In the end it was easier to accept. When the food was delivered by a 2nd server, the order was incorrect, but he immediately went to swap out the incorrect side. The food was good. Tasty chips, great breaded fish. Very oniony side salad. We then waited ages for another server to come... In the end we waved one over. This was the 3rd server and he came round with our bill. When we said we wanted to order dessert, he asked if we wanted to split the bill. We said no, we want to order dessert, and even pointed to the item on the menu, when he then asked another question about the bill before realising we wanted more. Finally the 4th server came to us with the dessert (that was tasty!) and asked us how our meal was. Then we paid and left. The food was good, but I would not recommend this venue to a friend.

Tried largs blue lagoon so thought we would try here also. Food was fresh & very good. Friendly staff and better portion of chips. Would recommend & return

Went to the Blue Lagoon to have lunch today and the Food was excellent.

Great food, quick service but a little overpriced.

I've been to Blue Lagoon a couple of times when I visit Glasgow, and the quality seems to differentiate. On this visit it was okay, the batter was noticably soft and there wasn't a huge amount of flavor to the haggis, however the staff were lovely and the restaurant had the same excellent blue lagoon decor. Very overpriced however, especially at £4.95 for a Scottish delicacy, the fried Mars bar. Vegetarian options: The menu has both vegan and vegetarian options, and also has separate fryers. Dietary restrictions: Whether you're gluten free, vegan or similar, they are very accommodating with both menu options and also the fact there is different fryers to suit Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible
