Blue Gill Quality Food

The pork rind fried chicken was amazing. Really tremendous flavor. The collard greens, Mac and cheese, and corn bread were also very good.

Dishonest menu and overpriced. Several of us ordered the half chicken and received two full wings, a thigh, and what looks like a mystery piece of white meat hacked off of a breast. A half chicken means half a chicken, not four pieces of whatever you feel like. Honestly an insulting practice.

The food was superb and prepared fresh and was punctual to the table after appetizers were served. Our server was knowledgeable about drink pairings that complimented our dinner choices and I was more than gracious. My only let down was I haven’t been able to return as much as I would like, but I will say that you won’t regret ever stopping by for fine cuisine, a wonderful establishment and caring staff.

Ate solo at the bar on a business trip. Staff was excellent, food was delicious. Nice selection of drinks, including local drafts. Highly recommend the scallops and mushroom risotto. If I ever find myself in Gainesville again, I will be back.

Catfish was good but not exceptional!

This is a great place to visit. The food was cooked perfectly, we had shrimp and grits and the fish and chips. The drinks were amazing and the ice cream chocolate pie was a fantastic dessert. Definitely coming back!

Great food with satisfying portions; will return if we’re ever in town to catch their daily specials. Hoping to taste their pork shank again!

Good food and drinks, but Attention: your bill already includes a 12% gratuity, which is not acknowledged unless you see it written on your receipt. I ended up paying a 27% tip for a less than stellar service. I'm disappointed!
