We recently visited Blue Fin and the whole experience was surprisingly great! Our expectations were not that high. We came in with a thought that this could be one of those tourist trap sites given its location. However, from the service down to their meals, everything was exceptional. We ordered a couple of sashimi’s and tried their sushi rolls. They were aesthetically pleasing and certainly mouthwatering! Our friendly and sweet server, Sophie consistently carried her beautiful smile and generously shared her strong knowledge of the menu and of New York City. We also visited the Lounge Room inside the W hotel where this restaurant is housed. It was also a pleasurable experience.

We ate here in December 2022 and loved it enough that we brought friends on 9/17/23. The moment we walked in, we should have left. It smells like rotten fish. The floors are so sticky! The men’s bathroom smelled like a porta potty that sat out in 100 degree weather full of feces and urine. Apologies to our friends. Oh yeah, almost forgot how bad the service was. How is this place still open?

Beautiful place with beautiful scenery and decor ..... I only had a cocktail and my kids tried the sushi ..... Amazing !!! The service is top notch they brought out a dessert for my daughters bday which was fantastic creme Brule. I will come back for dinner the next time I'm visiting the city

I was looking forward to this tonight but have been left extremely disappointed. To begin with my Espresso Martini looked like it had been poured from a tin. It had no froth at all. The bar needs to learn how to make cocktails. Tasted shop bought. Our 'to share' dish had 4 TINY dumplings. The calamari dish had about 4 calamari and was full of shreds of onion rings. Paying the bill was strange. They took my card away and processed the payment without my pin. Strange. No handheld terminal at the table in this 21st century. And to tip I was asked to write the amount on a piece of paper and then the transaction would be processed 3 days later. Very suspect. I left a cash tip instead. Also we had kitchen staff hovering over our table and couldn't wait to clear our table. Wasn't even busy. The young lady who served us was polite and lovely though. Not worth the money we charged.

My wife and I enjoyed an early (6:15pm) dinner before theatre. It took 20 minutes to get a drink. We ordered Bang Bang Shrimp which was good, but waited 10 minutes to get chop sticks, after requesting them from 3 separate servers. My main course tuna was very good, but my wife's salmon, ordered medium-rare was well done and dry. This is a pretty restaurant, but the dinner experience was not good. There are better choices ...

We loved our server, Adrian. He was amazing and recommended the bread pudding dessert. The sushi was fresh and delicious. The steak was delicious as well

Amazing!!!! This is our second time here ordering the exact same meal. The sushi, seared tuna and sea bass were absolutely delicious and full of bold and savory flavor. Our server Adrian was attentive and friendly. Can’t wait to get back here again before a Broadway show. The perfect date night!
