Blue Dog Bakery & Cafe

Delicious, interesting food with friendly service in a cozy atmosphere. Although the pastries were mostly gone by the time we arrived for lunch, we very much enjoyed our more substantial meals. Try the grapefruit salad or mushroom tartine.

A delightful, cozy bakery and cafe! I only had time to grab a couple of sweet treats to go (obviously a kouign amann couldn't be missed!), but this would be a lovely place to linger over breakfast with a loved one. Next time I'm in Louisville!

Phenomenal! A real gem!

So far I believe Blue Dog to be the best bakery in the Lu. I love their morning glory muffin, it's 100x better than the one from PTY chain (PTY is overpriced and over hyped, if you like it you need blue dog in your life). The orange pistachio schnecken is also my go-to with the muffin, I have yet to try breakfast here but the offerings outside of pastry look superb, and based on the execution of the pastry, probably IS superb. Go here!

I drive across town just to purchase fresh & unique breads from this bakery. Reasonable prices. The pastries are delicious! I’ve eaten brunch here numerous times and have always left satisfied. A little gem of a bakery in Louisville.

This is a cute place without bread in the afternoon and hence too far off my own living area. My wife found online a German bakery that will ship to us next week their fresh farmers' bread And thus solve a 5 year old dilemma since we moved here. Thanks. You are very kind folks.
