We stopped in at 4pm and a very nice hostess greeted us and told us the dining room didn't open until 5 but we were welcome to eat at the bar that had the same menu...after seeing that there were seats at the bar we asked the bartender to order a drink while we looked at the menu to order dinner at the bar. He was very rude and we told him the hostess told us we could get dinner in the bar and even though we were the only customers and it was after 4 the opening time he rudly grumped at us and walked away. Needless to say his rude behavior led to us leaving and going to the restaurant next door and were greeted and served by a wonderful waitress who earned her 30% tip with a great smile and timely service. I feel bad for people that work hard at their job only to have their customer service ruined by a rude grumpy bartender. We won't be returning.

A petite filet is not a filet mignon but was $50, grainy and mediocre. The appetizer elk meatballs were burnt, tough and we returned them. They did not charge us. My child's kids meal salmon (sockeye-not salmon) came out charred black and he would not eat it, I don't even know why they bothered bringing it to the table. My Cabernet house wine was $17 a glass, menu said different. Everything about this place is awful. It wasn't our waitress's fault- bless her heart so we still left her 20%. I wouldn't be surprised if they are closing their doors tomorrow or in the next month. DON'T GO HERE. Waste of time and money. 5p-7p on Friday night and place was DEAD.

They don't answer the phone during business hours. We tried to make a reservation three days in advance, but had to leave a message instead of actually speaking to someone. I asked them to call me back to confirm the reservation request. They didn't. This had happened previously. but we were able to be seated. This time we took a two hour trip to Blue Canyon for a birthday dinner only to find a notice on the door that the restaurant had been privately rented for that evening. Their website hadn't mentioned this closure when I checked that morning. That is an irresponsible failure. We will not be going there anymore.

Next time you are looking for a great dinner, avoid the 1800s or the line at that Texas place. The steaks are amazing at Blue Canyon! Great food, great service, great atmosphere, and great dessert!

Disappointedly, we had the following unfortunate situation occur for our holiday staff party. We had made our reservation for our staff gathering in late November for December 16, then confirmed the reservation about a week before with no indication of a conflict with the reservation, only to learn upon arrival that are reservation was cancelled due to a private party. What was most disappointing besides having to relocate our holiday party, was that the manager, Raymond McClintock, told us while standing in the entryway, that he wanted "to make it right" and "compensate our dinner" because of his error or his establisment's error in not notifying us in a timely manner and that we had to get other arrangements. He then gave me his personal email to reschedule our dinner and "to make it right" as he implied that evening. I have emailed him twice, with ZERO response. If he had decided that he could no longer honor "make it right" than he should at least respond that way. Very disappointing and unprofessional!

This place sucks. 2nd year in a row we had reservations for after football game. Last year they canceled this year they said all dining area shut down you can eat at bar side. We showed up and the bartender was rude and a total douche bag. He totally ignored us. We waited 1/2 hour and he never did acknowledge us. Will never go back

The last two times waited five minutes to be seated in an almost empty restaurant. Left. Used to be a go-to. Sad.

Awesome dinner! After driving 8 hours my dad and I were looking for a hearty meal and we found it. Everything was great and they even had an awesome huckleberry butter which surprised my tastebuds. Service was attentive and kind, but the place was also empty for some reason (very surprising given food quality!). Definitely recommend!!
