A place that focuses on coffee, but the coffee is really not exciting. Other than that there is nothing to look for there. A very poor selection of cakes. Other than that there is nothing. Nice to sit.

Blue Bottle is a great coffee shop for interesting flavor profiles and expansions on standard coffee expectations. The staff is always wonderful and helpful, I highly recommend the Sweet Latte and Almond Croissant. The menu is pricey, but is nice for a treat on occasion.

it's a small coffee chain based from Oakland California. the food items are locally made not cheap wholesale. it's also pour over and espresso based not drip coffee.

Pretty good coffee, but their prices are so insanely high. Not at all worth the money. Sadly, there aren’t many other options for good coffee in this area.

I got a 12oz iced NOLA with oat milk. Was sweet enough to not need sugar. Great flavor. This is a really really great cup of coffee. Atmosphere is (very) snooty and clean. RR is immaculate. Felt a bit out of place in my work clothes to be honest but I do not think the coffee or business is marketed to fat greasy locksmiths. Dull roar atmosphere, if you’re taking your bumble date here for a “pre workout pick me up” you may have to lean in to hear what they have to say. 7-10$ for a cup. Parking: Watch out for aggressive self entitled cougars in their teslas and righteous over caffeinated Liz Warren neophytes drifting in their Subarus. Almost got ran over in the parking lot.

Blue Bottle is a frustratingly wonderful cafe in a shopping area that the Gen Zers would call "Bougie." Whatever you're paying for, half of what you're paying for goes to rent. A quarter goes to communicating a certain 'status,' the other half goes to the costs of goods sold. And the cost of Blue Bottle's goods sold is pretty expensive, but comparably worth it. They are one of the only cafes on The Street that doesn't sell tea in a plastic steeping bag. They use paper steeping bags, instead. This is an important, and discriminating, factor in choosing a place where rent is so high. The product you are buying is not going to seep microplastics in the tea you are drinking. Blue Bottle gets five stars because they commit a lot of resources to sustainable businesses practices, at least from a customer's perspective. The packaging is compostable, and switching from wood stirrers to fresh metallic spoons is a strong choice. They'll have to wash those spoons for reuse again. They chose that instead of throwing away wood products. These are some of the reasons I'll pony up five dollars for a small tea. I might not do it everyday, because I could be spending some of that money on avocado toast. But I'll try to support sustainable businesses. That, and the delivery of the product is spot on. The baristas really do care about how the coffee and tea is brewed and steeped. There is a craftwork behind their operations, which deserves respect. I hope this review gives that respect, otherwise I should find a nice vending machine somewhere else.

Citizens of Newton. It is shameful to work from a coffee shop without ordering anything. The establishment pays for wifi and utilities and pays employees who have their own lives, families, hopes and dreams. How myopic, entitled and selfish can you be? At least get a bottle of water or an espresso. You are not an exception and no one is benefiting from your presence. Kindly, A decent human being.
