I went here for the first time with my son-in-law to enjoy a couple of cups of coffee and a raspberry pastry. I must say the coffee was great, the service was great and that raspberry pastry was DELICIOUS! A second cup/refill was only a buck, and some change. But mostly, I really enjoyed the atmosphere of Blooming Grounds. Low light on one side, brighter on the other. Cozy, quiet atmosphere.
This place is a gem - great food, incredible coffee, and a cozy and welcoming environment. This is worth the stop - I stayed for several hours on back to back days!
Food was decent, and they had plenty of room for people to spread out if they wanted to. I had the chicken olive sandwich which was fairly one dimensional because the only real flavor in the sandwich was olive. My wife had a sandwich with steak on it would she said was a little bit stringy but otherwise tasted good. I would like to go back and try something different because I feel I would be able to find a sandwich that I enjoyed.
Honestly this place was decent. I had one problem because it took forever to get my food and drinks. I waited in line for the drive thru for like fifteen minutes and then I get up and ordered and waited another ten for my drinks. Then they told me to pull forward and wait for my bagels. I was just chilling and then like twenty minutes later I realized maybe I should go inside to see if my order was ready. It turns out it was ready and so I got my bagels and left. I would just sya if you are going to go, set aside an hour to make sure you aren't late for anything. I was supposed to be working but instead I spent an hour here. TBH I didn't care because I was still getting paid. Also make sure you know the difference between the Expresss and the regular one because I mixed them up and as I am writing this review I think I mixed them up again but I have written far too much to go back and redo it.
We love this coffee shop. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is fun, right there at the heart of downtown. The coffee is also good. Great place to go with your family, too. Vegetarian options: There are some choices for vegetarian/vegans, which I truly appreciate. The pizza, veggie panini, and soups are great choices. Kid-friendliness: It's a family-friendly place. We brought with us our Dominoes and had a great time eating dinner.
