Black Star Bakery & Kitchen

This is no longer open. Not sure why it’s listed as “Open” on here, and updated recently by the business. Sign says it is moving to Manhattan and a different store is opening in its place.

By far and away, Black Star was the best coffee shop in the neighborhood. I lived close by since its opening and they constantly delivered on service and product. Excited to see what's next for the location. The owners clearly know what they're doing.

Staff is always incredibly friendly and the pastries are to die for as are the other dishes and brunch they serve. My go-to coffee spot in the area.

Ordered a Turkish coffee and the barista was kind and explained how it was too hot to drink immediately, to wait for a few minutes and add sugar if necessary. Cute place, great ambiance, sweet staff, and the food looks amazing!! Got a strawberry donut (amazing ) and grilled cheese.
