We tried a few bagels, each one was delicious! Warm, soft and the spreads were great! Coffee was great too!
Being born and raised in New York City, my bagel standards are usually pretty high , but the bagels and coffee here are excellent. Service was friendly and welcoming, the food was on the table in no time. We’re here for a work assignment so we were looking for a place that was close and was quality. I can say that Black Hills Bagels checks those boxes! Safe to say we’ll be back for sure.
We finally got to stop in and grab a few bagels in our way through town. The bagels are definitely delicious, fluffy, and perfect to toast with your favorite topping. However the cream cheese selection was alright and the cheddar pepper was not very good. I wish they had a jalapeño option to select. There is nothing like a good Asiago bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. We also tried a few others and honestly wasn’t too impressed with the cream cheeses. We did end up ordering some coffees and a chai and I will say the chai was one of the best I have ever had. The coffee was also equally as delicious but be careful with the serving temperature. I really wanted to try a bagel sandwich but honestly the pricing was too high for a a small town bagel shop at $13 a sandwich regardless of what toppings were on it. When we went there wasn’t a line and it didn’t take long to get our order. The cashier was nice and also the lady who made our coffee was sweet. If you are not a coffee drinker there was a large variety of other drinks for you in a fridge to pick from. Also there seemed to be a large seating area but not sure how busy it gets as we went at weird time of day. Overall get your bagels for the week here, but maybe skip the cream cheese topping.
Good bagel. Terrible spot. Sucks they hate unsheltered people and blast weird local republican rapid cityite propaganda throughout their restaurant. Really hard to enjoy a hogs and chicks w jalapeños when I have weird political stuff thrown in my face. Advice to the owners: Focus on making bagels, and maybe less on the political nonsense. Cheers !
When ever friends and family come to Rapid City we always make a stop at BHB.
