Black Dynasty Secret Ramen House

I tried Black Dynasty ramen yesterday at the cherry blossom festival in Nashville and the chicken yakisoba was disappointing. They guy cooking the noodles was not wearing any gloves so as he was wiping down his sweaty forehead he was also transferring the noodles to the black stone grill. The portion was small and the price advertised was $18. However upon paying it came up to a total of $23.97. When I was giving my debit card the man taking payments stated “you don’t need to tip we already include the tip in our final price.” Which I knew they likely did this because I know sales tax in TN are high but no where are they $5.97 for one plate of food. This made me really uncomfortable that they took it upon themselves to charge the client a tip in their final pricing. If you see advertising $18 do not charge your client the tip. Tips are optional and it was not a sit in environment so I feel I was robbed. They were set up as vendors. It is a shame that they up charged almost $6 for a serving that was mediocre and tasted burned. Do not recommend at all! After waiting in line for a long time and needing the food to feed my son I paid and went about my day but was truly disappointed by the included tip without me having the option to tip and after paying watching the guy wipe his sweat, wear no gloves, and touch the noodles

We walked in hoping to find a good ramen spot on Nashville. This place has missed the mark by having an identity crisis. Let's start with the drink and food menu, they don't pair at all. Offering these fruity cocktails and IPAs have your pallet confused. As for tonkatsu ramen itself, the sour collard greens were good but misplaced in the bowl of ramen, should be some boiled bean sprouts or something that doesn't overpower the broth. The noodles are more of a Chinese mein not a Japanese ramen so that's also a miss. The chashu had good flavor, but there's only one piece given in the bowl. What makes it a tough experience is that a bowl of ramen is $20 and they charge you 20% service no matter what. So that means 2 bowls and 2 beers you're looking at about $70...

Massively overhyped, overpriced and underperforming. If you want a pretentious craft beer hipster joint with awful service and worse food, this is the place for you. Genuinely unpleasant experience, make sure you hit Otakus literally across the parking lot from this dumpster fire

Great food in a great brewery. If they have the matcha chess pie on the menu, it’s a must!

No wait service, but a mandatory 20% "service charge". The proprietors should instead increase menu prices if they care about paying a fair wage to employees. This simply reeks of emotional manipulation. Food was okay, but the taste was marred by this malpractice. Would not recommend.

Sorry, Otaku, but you have been put to shame! This is the best ramen I've ever had. Hands up and down! The broth I could drink even if there were zero soup filling. But let's talk soup filling. I got the Garlic Style Tonkotsu. It features picked collards, and it's so delicious. I ordered my meal from Uber Eats, and the broth was still warm. I still heated, as the instructions said, and it was worth it. Tell you what, here's how I really feel about Black Dynasty. I'm eating my meal right now, and I stopped mid-spoonful to write this review. EAT HERE.

Love this place. They make their own noodles, and it makes the difference. Excellent brews to choose from as well as appetizers. My only minor issue is they don't change the main menu often, but that's semantics, I suppose. Everything is great, but that Hellfire is FIRE.
