Placed an order for delivery. When the order eventually showed up, it was missing one of the main components. I called and the person who took my call said they were out and that it would be deducted from the total. It would have been appreciated if someone could have called to let me know that they were out and if there was something else I would like in its place. Best part is I didn't see the amount deducted from the total charged. Lesson learned. This place has potential, but I won't be returning.

The beans were hard. The ribs were chewy. It was just terrible! Save your money 60 dollars down the drain! The guy behind the register did not have any customer service skills and acted like we were a bother.

They send out incomplete orders and have no working phone number.

Delicious!!!! The brisket is amazing!

Enjoyed this place quite a bit. There bbq sauce is spectacular. Brisket was tender, juicy, and the right amount of fat. Very meaty St. Louis style ribs that were tender. Gumbo was full of shrimp and sausage with a little zing of spiciness to it. Jalapeño cornbread was moist and delicious. Coleslaw was crisp and tasty. My least favorite item was the red beans and rice, but i think it's because I was full and had a liot to live up to when compared to everything else I ate. In addition I think the price was more than reasonable. In fact I think it was a bargain. I'd really rate Black Bottom overall around a 4.6 or 4.7, but the rating system doesn't allow for this score. Lastly, the restaurant seemed like a family run business and they were working hard. I'll support this type of place anytime I can.

I had the four bone ribs which was very good the greens were excellent the Mac an cheese weren't so good. Overall everything was very good exculding the Mac an cheese. I love down the street in the senior citizen building I will be going back from time to time.

One of the worst restaurants in terms of customer service I’ve ever seen. I waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged in a non-busy time period (1 person in front of me). After I mentioned my name for pickup, they proceeded to actually make the order….DoorDash said it was ready. Now, the food. Very bland. Having lived in the south for a decade this was extremely disappointing. The brisket was terrible. The sauce absolutely dreadful. LA is pretty bad at BBQ in general but this takes the cake. Overall, don’t go.

REVIEW TIME: I have travel every inch of Southern California in search of Soul Food that can satify the country boy in me. After 4 years I have found it. The thickness and texture of the grits are perfect. The Smoked Chicken is SMOKY GOODNESS. I bit 1 rib threw is down, because I felt they almost stole my recipe. HA! Pick that rib up & ENJOYED! THERE ARE ANGELS ON THEIR WAY TO DELIVER GREAT BLESSINGS UPON THIS FAMILY OWNER BUSINESS. I PROFESS THIS. THIS IS AUTHENTIC SOUL FOOD DESERVING OF 5 STARS.

We placed a large order for take out yesterday afternoon. The total was $313. I arrived for the scheduled pickup time only to find out they did not make the order. They told me they did not have the supplies to make any of the order. No notice at all. It’s disappointing because the food looks good. A little more communication from the restaurant would have been appreciated.
