Black Bear Diner

I had previously left a negative review that was not accurate of the actual experience and would like to set the record straight. I have eaten here several times. The food is always great, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good place to eat in Carson, so give them a try if you haven't already. Parking: The restaurant is in the MAX casino, so there is plenty of free parking.

The worst food ever received by the Black Bear diner. Both wife and I got sick. Eggs were dry and overcooked. Meal was cold. Family member ordered a dish the egg- whites, surprisingly, no egg-whites. Took forever to get meal. Never again!

The.waitrss ignore me for ten minutes before I walked ou t being served. I DON'T PLAN TL EVER EAT AT TGE CARSON CITY RESTAURANT.EVER AGAIN!!!

I arrived about 6:30 PM, and there was no one at the front station. I waited several minutes while I observed 2 servers for the four tables with customers. I had the impression that they were waiting for me to turn around and leave. Finally one of the servers acknowledged me, seated me at a table, and brought me a menu and glass of water. After a few more minutes I signaled her that I was ready to order. She informed me that she was not my server. After several more minutes the other server began to clear the table across the aisle from me. I got up and asked her why she was ignoring me. She stopped clearing the table, apologized and took my order. The seafood I ordered was average; batter coating could use some seaoning. The staff could use alot more training.

Disappointing. First experience to be bad. It was my first visit to this location. Ordered breakfast things were lukewarm. Service was great, food not so much. I had a Benedict, muffin was soggy and not toasted. My home potatoes were like soggy french fries. Sad because other locations I've been were or are fabulous. And they at the time were not busy by any means

Food was good, but served cool. the service was a bit slow and spent too much time talking and playing around in the kitchen. You can see them in there playing games. All our drinks went dry. We had to get someone else to fill them.
