Black Angus was our favorite steakhouse for many years and we especially loved their signature item, the prime rib and mud pie. Something must've changed because the prime rib meat was very chewy and not tender at all despite it was cooked perfectly to medium rare during a recent visit. And the worst part was Black Angus dropped the small size 8oz portion from the menu. Now the smallest size is 12oz which is way too big for people who have smaller appetites. BRING BACK the 8oz portion. We used to love their delicious mud pie. Now the bottom crust is hard as rock, virtually not edible. And the taste and texture have changed too. It simply doesn't taste good anymore. The only thing good that evening was the service. If you are after a high quality prime rib or prefer a smaller portion, go somewhere else. If you want quantity but don't care about meat quality, go to Black Angus.
