BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse

Been a faithful customer to then for years. They have been degrading little by little after covid. Went today, called at 6:10 said i was going, was told there was a 30 min wait, i got to the restaurant 30 min later and there was still an extra 30 min wait. The restaurant was EMPTY but whatever I understand they must have their assigned seats or whatever. We order a soup on bun, they out of buns. We order a salmon, well after an hour of waiting for our parties food, they bring everyones food then say they out of salmon. They lffered to give us a free plate. We eat our diner then asked for desert, after we were tired of waiting for our desert they came back and said they were out of chocolate chip skilets that we have to choose another one. No lie took them an extra 30-45 minutes to bring out the desert after the second order. When they bring the desert i tell them to bring me the check, we finished eating our desert, kids were jumpn and desperate, half the party went to the cars while we were still waiting on the check. Couldve of literally walked out of the restaurant without payn and theyd prob still not noticed we left. Did they make it worth our while with the check? No they did not. They lucky they added the tip to the bill or else i wouldnt of left anything. It was an absolute disaster. This is first time in my life leaving a bad review anywhere. But it was so bad that i had to take the time to do this.

Arrived to get two Growlers and when seated we stated that we would like to taste test a few before having ours filled. Our waitress pointed to the wall of flavors and said that was our choices. The wall included local brews. You get 3 free "scosches" per person. After trying my three tastes tests, I decided on the Local Southern Tier Creme Brulee Stout. Then the manager came to our table and informed us that local beers aren't able to be filled at the price we were given. I was requoted a price of $9.00 a pint, a growler fills at 4 pints, that's $36.00 + tax. Then was informed they could give a pint free for the trouble. That's not how this works, you can't just charge a price you conjure when a growler filled is $13.00 and there is no advertisement for local drafts not filled, not anywhere can I find this in the store or on the menu. Very unhappy with this and I will not be getting beer here again. Why was I offered the taste tests knowing it was to fill out growlers, if y'all won't fill it at the previous price given? That's like being quoted for a service, getting the service, then being charged double for the service and not honoring your quote. I own a tree business and would NEVER do this to a customer. And yes, this is an exact depiction because I paid for the growler jug for the price I was previously given. We are not local and drove 1.5 hours for these to be filled. What a waste.

Superb food. Really nice environment with warm engaging staff. We had BJs fav pizza, burgers, potato skins, calamari, and sampled the custom beers. Uniformly was a pleasant experience. If you haven't been here - it's well worth a stop. Edit: Just stopped by after a year away. Great beer selection, food was awesome as before. Staff very pleasant. Was, and is, well worth it.

I used to like going to this restaurant but recently-terrible. Management service is well below expectations. Not sure what happened to this place. Definitely would not come back.

I had an exceptional experience at this restaurant! The service was impeccable, and the staff went above and beyond. The pizza was outstanding – perfectly cooked with a delightful combination of flavors. A must-visit for any pizza enthusiast! The avocado egg rolls are also delicious.

My daughter and I dined here today and, as always, the pizza and pizookies were delicious. I would recommend other foods on the menu but I've never tried them because, come on, pizza and pizookie, who needs anything else. Purely by luck, we went on half price day for large pizzas and both of us took home a lot of food; her husband is very happy with her leftovers. If you don't get a special and do get a pizookie, the average spend would be closer to $30-$50 but it's worth it, especially for the sampler trio of pizookies. Did I mention I really like them? Akennia was our server and was very efficient and pleasant. I would ask for her again. The only problem is the restaurant is about 95 miles each way from our homes. Y'all really need to open a location closer to Charleston. Summerville and the surrounding areas would welcome you.

My first and last time eating here. I have heard many people speak on this place and I figured why not experience what others have. We were seated upon arrival. Our drink orders were taken, but food orders were made once everyone arrived. After the drinks and food were placed and drinks delivered, our waitress disappeared. When the food finally arrived our waitress disappeared again. We had to get the attention of another waiter to ask for drink refills. One of the people of my party never received his meal until he reminded her he never got his entrée. I would have given this place a chance, but our waitress mainly made her presence known when it was time to pay the check and leave.

I went last week and ordered wings, my waitress recommended the shrimp scampi which was really good and my spouse had the chicken sandwich (he tore that sandwich up lol). My waitress was amazing !!!!!! I put two stairs by the food selection because my wings were undercooked. My spouse ate 2 and I ate one and I told him it taste funny like the texture. He didn’t sense that so We took them home and he air ate two more and started complaining about his stomach right, I told him it had to be the wings and sure enough l took pictures of the wings they were red on the l side (I’m not sure how you upload pictures)

I forgot to take more pictures but it was our first time and our server Gilbert was amazing nwxt time i go i will ask for him, i asked for the hickory brisket bacon burguer wow sooooo good deff will order it again my husband ate the tri tip combo with half rack of ribs and i tried it it was delicious, my 6 year old asked for the sliders, we added bacon and cheese on his cus thats how he likes it. Overall we loved it and we will be coming back Kid-friendliness: They have a kid menu and my 6 year old loved it
