I'm sorry but this place doesn't deserve the rating it has. Another review said it best, "they're too pricy to be making such mediocre mistakes." And I also agree with, "I appreciate what they're trying to do here but the food isn't very good." My theory is that it's so expensive, everyone wants to convince themselves that it's good. It's not. My girlfriend and I both got 4 courses, each with different items to try a variety of food. The foie gras Tarte tasted like over salted peanut butter. The BBQ macaroon was mediocre and just weird, not terrible but overly sweet, the two don't go together. The "fish and chips" are two hollow 3inch tubes of " chips", nevermind the "chips" in fish and chips are supposed to be french fries. And the fish was this tiny ball of fish mixed with some kind of sauce, maybe mayo. Reminded me of a tuna salad. And there were like 3 bites worth. I don't even know... The peas and carrots were bland. The fried chicken was so bad! It was mushy and super bland. And comes with spicy red sauce? With friend chicken? It's just weird. And it came with some weird fried wavy thing with potatoes. Bland and annoying to eat. The duck was tough! Tough duck?? The seasoning was good though. The chocolate desert was good but not amazing. I don't know if they got a new chef or changed the menu but this is not a 4.5 star restaurant, ESPECIALLY for the prices and servings they have. They're trying to be high end but the chefs skills aren't up to the task.
Only person that knows what he’s doin there is Adam! Bread always burnt, protencious chef and owner don’t waste your money.
Turns out we got really lucky that I had goofed on a reservation at another restaurant. Being already in the area we searched for 'restaurants near me' on google, and this was the second one we tried calling, definitely not expecting to find a table, but were happily accommodated. To say that we were blown away by the presentation, service , quality and especially taste would be a huge understatement. Even before we finished the third course of the tasting menu (extraordinary value for money at the price point, especially since we have paid far more for experiences that were not in the same league by any measure) we were already plotting / planning our next visit. Beyond excited that we found this place and we're definitely headed back soon.
The decor provides a perfect ambiance for dinner. The chef rotates his menu on a regular basis while the sommelier provides exquisite pairings. A great experience from beginning to end. Highly recommended
Fantastic and reasonably priced tasting menu. Superb service (Erika was delightful). A hidden gem.
Came for valentines, and we were greeted with an amazing 4 course tasting menu. Every dish was perfect and too our liking and the service was even better. The environment was very cozy and romantic. The portions were perfect, we left feeling happily full but not overly stuffed. Come for not only amazing food but a great experience!
