Exactly as hoped for in all regards
We decided to checkout the new restaurant as we haven't been back to Bistro since the move. We have been to dinner several times in the old location and enjoyed it every time. The food is still good, but we will not be back. My main point of concern was the service and a ridiculous 5% fee. Our server was polite upon reception but after we were initially seated, our server came back smelling of cigarette smoke while taking our order. I know smokers are not sensitive to their own smell, but non smokers sure are. The smell is gross and not befitting to a fancy restaurant. Stars knocked off for this. Also to note that this is one of those Denver restaurants that now like to pass cost of living charges back to their customers as a 5% charge. All of you restauranteurs that do this should just raise your prices by 5% more on your menu and pay your people appropriately. Another star knocked off for this.
The most romantic spot in Denver, plenty of parking and a staff that understands how to make a special occasion feel special. I never get tired of this place, they have the most delicious food. I can't wait to go back!
Much more casual vibe than when they were downtown. We were dressed up nice for Valentine's Day and felt very out of place when we got seated next to a gentleman in a stained khaki jacket with unkempt hair. Not a place to wear a blouse or button down to anymore. The Vegetarian French Onion soup was ok. I like their old recipe better. We also got the trout & schnitzel. Schnitzel was good and had some complex flavors going on. The trout could been better, it kinda lacked flavor. The French Kissel cocktail was amazing! Drinks were definitely the best part of the dinner! Service was excellent!
Great French food in a neighborhood spot
