Making a brunch reservation online was quick and simple—something I’d highly recommend because this place fills up fast. The food and service were excellent, with a diverse menu offering both lunch and breakfast options, all beautifully presented. I love the aesthetic of this restaurant, especially the charming patio out front. When the sun is shining, it’s the perfect spot to sit and enjoy a meal.
Recently visited and was unimpressed. Our server took about 20 minutes to come over to greet us and she was very forgetful the entire time. We asked for boxes on 3 different times until we finally got them. The food was okay, but there were a bunch of tiny hairs in the food, the sort of looked stubble hair from a beard.
This place lost its Charm. Needs to improve
Waited 45 mins before getting water and another 45 mins before getting our drinks and food. Our waitress didn’t show up until the end of our meal; someone who was not a waiter noticed that we had been waiting and took our order and brought our food and drinks personally.
We used to love this place! Have had great breakfasts and dinners here. Moved away from the area. Decided to try for Easter breakfast. Terrible! Sat for 20 minutes while they tried to figure out who our server was. Another 10 to get water and coffee. Food eventually arrived 46 minutes in and literally looked thrown on the plate. Fruit not fresh, unripe and/or rotten. Don’t waste your money.
Ahi tuni tacos and caviar were good but no to brussel sprouts.
Trash never been the same straight garage food
Unfortunately I can’t give zero stars :( absolute trash! Went here on Valentine's day and had a reservation I was on time for well in advance. The big guy running the show was so eager to me and my spouse seated that he didn’t hear me repeat myself numerous times saying “I made a reservation through open table” long story short I was charge a $40 fee with the card I made reservation with because the manager clearly didn’t hear me. I reached and spoke with two mangers both Heather & Martin who acknowledge it was a mistake on their end and was told they were going to reverse that charge and of course did not. Had to reach out to my bank and disputed the charge. I went to bistro Joe’s 10+ times over the past year and this will definitely be the last. This place is a joke!
Great night at Bistro Joe's, the place was super busy, we had great service and the food was amazing.... the manager was super friendly and very attenuative! Parking: plenty of free parking available in front of the restaurant
Went back 3/15./24. Last minute rez. Glass of Malbec came after meal. Was ordered before steak arrived. Drinks weren’t prepared with care. No beer on draft…. Disappointing again. Used to be a fixture. Poor service can ruin a great meal. This is an example of that. 1) waitstaff cannot bring out 3 out of 4 drinks, and then take 10 minutes to bring 4th drink to table. The waiters need to use the “tray” technology. 2). Waitstaff cannot walk from a table empty handed… leaving empty plates and silverware for guests 2.1). They allegedly ran out of silverware during evening… see comment above 3). Waitstaff should not join the “party” by making colloquial jokes such as “putting down drinks, not drinking water” and “How does that minty chocolate cake taste, I’ve never had it” 4). Waitstaff shouldn’t apologize for crummy service at the end of the evening 5). The manager/owner needs to think twice before sitting people in the area facing Woodward when it’s cold outside, especially the end table. The group of customers looked like hikers in a camp with coats, hats, and all. The fan/heater combo made a deafening noise drowning music 6) finally, the food was great (as usual) and the manager was affable. Lodging a formal complaint at the end of a meal is always indelicate.
