Bistango in Irvine

Great live music here - I have discovered a few favorite bands here. The menu here is perfection. They are great with preparing lamb, chicken and salmon, but everything here is really delicious. Great cocktails and very friendly and professional staff (with great memories).

Everything was on point. Long standing establishment of nearly 40-years.

Ah, Valentine's Day at Bistango - what could've been a romantic evening turned into a bit of a fiasco! We arrived 10 minutes early, only to be told we'd have to wait (understandable, given the holiday). But when we returned, we were led to a cramped back room with flimsy tables and a makeshift cloth setup. Talk about a mood killer! We missed out on the live performances and cozy atmosphere of the main restaurant. I mean, I've had better ambiance at Taco Bell (no joke!). And for the price tag of over $300, I expected a whole lot more. To be honest, if my date and I didn't get along so well, I'd be more upset. But even with a great date, the experience was still a letdown. I wouldn't recommend Bistango, and it's a shame because a simple call to warn us about overbooking and offer a cancellation option would've gone a long way. Transparency is key, especially when expectations are high. Maybe next time, Bistango, you'll get it right. For now, I'll have to share my disappointment with others.

The prices are WAY OVER PRICED. I can not return with those prices.

Still a good experience after all of these years. Food and atmosphere remain very good to excellent. Service was a little inconsistent, but still acceptable. Pricey, but entrees included sides. Parking: Valet is free. (Tip recommended)
