Bi-Rite is perhaps a symptom of the rating hyperinflation pandemic in San Francisco. It’s just pretty good. The flavours are certainly there; the sesame and the coffee toffee are great, and they have a deep repertoire of other flavours to try. But when it comes down to it, it’s just another ice cream place; neither the milk base nor the depth of flavours wow me so much that I think it’s worth a 4.6. One thing is that the banana topping was a nice and original surprise. Worth the short wait and its price? Maybe.
Creative flavors that are delicious. The saffron/jaggery and black sesame was one of the best ice cream combos I have had in a while. The workers are also always super kind and generous with samples.
My new favorite ice cream flavor ever- Orange Cardamom. The server seemed excited when I ordered it! It must be good. Filled up the rest of my cup with Saffron Jaggery Caramel, also to die for. Yum. Nearly worth the 92 dollar parking ticket I got. Oh, well....
The place to get ice cream during a good sunny day at Dolores park! They have many unique flavors, malt favorite is the basil ice cream! The Mango with a little chili ️ spice is my favorite!!
I loveeeeee bi rite! Throughout all of California! The creme brûlée and malted vanilla is where it’s at. Malted vanilla was a hidden find for me - I tried it one day and just fell in love. I could and often get 3 scoops of it on a waffle cone lolol. I haven’t been in a while and I learned today they’re getting rid of it so they had a few pints so I picked it up. I’m extremely sad it’s going away. I still love this place though- everyone’s always very friendly and polite and I appreciate it. Favorite ice cream place of all times.
Dietary restrictions: The selection of vegan ice cream is superb. Highly recommend the triple chocolate coconut, Pina colada, and anything else vegan. In terms of dairy containing options, I've been told that the black sesame is amazing.
