Went to this speak easy place for the Friday 9.30pm show. Had to book tickets in advance (couple of days). The place is small, intimagw and cosy, the owner and staff very warm and the music just great - time flies during the show! You are encouraged to bring your own nibbles and drinks.
Great place - great music!
This place is a true gem. A small, intimate jazz show in the heart of Harlem, in the exact place where Billie Holliday was discovered. Black history at its finest and a must-see for Jazz fans. BYOB.
Very small space, go early if you want a good seat. Very basic food & snacks (that's not a complaint, it's just an FYI). Great music and that's all that matters!!!
Intimate basement jazz venue, highly recommend
I’ve found a great time in here.
We had a magic night here! What a great music and environment!
Really charming vibe and place. The backing Trio was absolutely incredible! But Bill played Sax, and he unfortunately played dispassionately and egoically. He didn’t listen or riff well with the band at all, and he played entirely too loud, with little to no dynamics, and he left very little space, relying heavily on noise-y scale runs without much melody at all… could even tell the band was a bit disengaged due to it. Even noticed him checking the time mid set during a song. Don’t think his heart was in it. Harsh review, but it’s what I noticed.
Wonderful place great music... beautiful atmosphere.
