Mason B is the best! Canyon wings > Buffalo. Everything was great!!!
Got the Tri-tip sandwich, and it was "eh" , meat was bland and green onions overpowered any other flavor -2star . My companion had the meatloaf, and she said it was very good. Draft Beer was cold. Waitress was cute and friendly. Atmosphere was basically sports bar type. Overall just okay. 3 stars
We had dinner at the Bighorn Tavern--the Wednesday special fish and chips and the Cobb salad (the latter was a pleasant surprise for a pub, with egg, bacon, avocado, pickled onion, beets, and chicken). On another day, we had lunch. The variety of burgers is very good, and the burgers are hefty. The buns remained intact without falling apart: no mean feat for a fat burger and all the toppings. The onion rings are huge, dipped in tempura batter. Nice high, airy ceiling and big windows. However, the kitchen is slow, so don't go if you have only an hour for lunch. Also the server said she might need to seat more people at our (2 people) six-top. Trophy heads abound. Totally planning return trips to investigate further! Parking: Typical strip mall parking.
Good neighborhood staple and a great place to go for happy hour after work. Excellent chili and beer selection.
Great food, lots of TVs for sports, and friendly service. I don't often see scotch egg on a menu, and it was decent although not the traditional preparation of fried whole with a soft yolk, but rather cut in half prior to frying. The burgers were really good - sizable patty with nice beef flavor, and plenty of fresh toppings. Fries are good, nice and crispy, and the vinaigrette on my salad was quite tasty. I can see why this is a popular locals spot, and it's a great choice to grab some grub while watching a game.
Had a nice sandwich and a cold beer with my youngest son.
