This was our first time here and my lady was excited to try it out. We ordered the Stir fried Squid and the Spicy Chicken. The chicken came out cold so we had to get it made again. By the time the food came back I had finished the squid completely. The squid was a little too sweet. I lean towards more traditional Korean food but figured we would give them a go round. We will probably not be back. The service was good though and they were pleasant. Go give them a try.
Love the food here their wood fired BBQ is great.
Not sure if I ordered the wrong item. The Galbi soup came with only two chops of rib in it, a bowl of rice, and a tiny pinch of kimchi. For almost $20, that’s all I have. The soup is tasty, though. It is my first time ordering such a dish at this place. My son likes his bulgogi box. It made me more hungry watching him eat. My suggestion to the store owner. You can raise the price to make the soup more fulfilling or warn whoever order this Galbi soup dish of the contents to manage their expectation. ———— Update: I came over again with my daughter. I asked specifically about the Galbi soup. It seems the photo on their menu does not match the description that the gentleman at the counter gave me. My daughter tried their bulgogi bento box and I ordered the bulgogi bowl. We are not disappointed this time. I’m changing my review to 4 stars to reflect our overall experience over two visits. ———————————— I brought the whole family back again. We ordered three bento boxes and a dumpling rice cake soup. Everyone is happy.
A cute little shop with very good Korean food! I was very satisfied with the authentic taste in every dish. I wanted to enjoy the sides that you would get at a kbbq place without going to one and this place has it. I loveeee the mash potatoes and macaroni salad for the sides. The rice cakes are good too! I enjoyed the galbi also. The person that took my order was nice and helped explained how to order. I'm definitely coming back.
I tried this restaurant randomly while working nearby. I must say it's been quite a while since I've had restaurant quality food that tastes. Homey. The food is comforting and somehow reminds me of a childhood memory. I can't quite put my finger on. The name of the restaurant is spot on. Taste like food a family member would make for you
This place is a hidden gem. Bulgogi or galbi plate is a must try. Highly recommended.
I dined in for dinner and got the bulgogi and galbi tang. The food was super fresh and very good. We also had some catering services from Big Sister's Kitchen. The staff, I believe Kevin was his name, was so friendly and explained everything in detail. I ordered for about 40-50 people and everyone enjoyed the food. It's a little pricey and the portions could be a a little more, but 100% worth it. I would recommend this place for both dining and catering.
Great home style food and great little place to hang out with your friends and family if you are in the Duluth area.
