Wouldn't return or recommend. Painfully below average. Tough brisket, dry but greasy. Chicken not any better than a Walmart rotisserie chicken. Banana pudding was old-one bite was enough. (I make my own from scratch so I know what texture and colour fresh product is supposed to be.) Portions were stingy for the elevated prices. BBQ sauce too tangy for me but I prefer a sweet/smoky flavour over watery vinegar.

Probably the worst bbq I’ve ever had.

I have eaten at many of the BBQ places in the area. First time at Big Shanty. I was pleased. Super friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Great sauce. The meats were good, not too dry, had bark and had some smoke flavor, but I prefer a a flavor when you just "know" it was smoked for hours. Rating: 4.5.

Amazing spot. Worth the trip.

Amazing ribs, brisket and pulled pork. We got everything and ate for days from the leftovers. Worth the trip!

I visited BSSH today for the first time. It's not a bad bbq place. I ordered two pulled pork sandwiches, they came with a bag of chips. I ordered two drinks, a side of slaw and potato salad. This cost $32 lol. The slaw is bland. The potato salad it pretty good and the pulled pork was good. The best thing I tried was their house made hot sauce. It wasn't hot but had a really good flavor.
