My wife and I ordered the big Nate plate to share. I was utterly disappointed in most everything but the sausage. I won’t go into too much detail because most everything doesn’t deserve the time. However, I will spend some time on the brisket. At $33/lb, this is by far the worst money I’ve ever spent. I have had jerky more tender than the brisket. It ate like the turkey from Christmas Vacation. I literally had to swallow it with a mouthful of water and the rest of it went in the trash while the staff watched. I wish my pictures and video did it justice. They don’t. If you come here, bring extra money and don’t order the brisket.

They ran out of brisket right after we arrived at 530pm. They overstuffed the to go container, so the food was spilling out. The dining area is small. The barbecue meat was good, but pricey. The loaded potatoes were gummy and the Mac n cheese was lacking flavor.

I’ve been to salt lick and terry blacks in Austin, Texas. And my god I didn’t think I’d find an amazing bbq place here in Arizona that is until we stumbled upon BIG NATES! The food was just amazing, we could not stop eating even when we were getting so full, I came here with my sister, and my goodness are we happy to have found this place. The owner was super friendly and very welcoming, staff was great. We are so coming back!!! THE BRISKET AND SMOKED SAUSAGE ARE MY FAVORITE. Honestly they nailed it on everything. And that is just so rare.
