are you kidding me ?! we ordered two burritos but we may as well have ordered 1 burrito from a better establishment. actually i think we would have double the food from ordering a single burrito at chipotle or qdoba or moes or anywhere else besides this place for the same price. You should call yourselves Little Mamas burritos because those were the smallest burritos i’ve ever seen. This is a joke
So today I was in Grandview, and had some time to kill, and was STARVING, I stopped into Big Mama's. I got there right before shift change, so the first lady made my order. I think it was a Big Mama Grande. I went into the bathroom to wash my hands, and it was very clean .Then I sat down to eat, and she left, and a different lady came in. She asked how I liked it, and I said it was very good, but I tried a couple sauces, and couldn't find what I was used to. She gave me some green chili sauce, and that hit the spot. . So I asked her if she's ever heard of Valentina Mexican hot sauce. She wasn't familiar with it, and I told her about Tapatio, which she was familiar with. It's not as hot, but has more flavor. She said OK, she might add it to the menu. So, ANYONE OUT THERE, THAT'S FAMILIAR WITH VALENTINA, BUG HER (I'm HORRIBLE with names, and forgot already☹️)TO STORE SOME, FOR THOSE OF US IN THE KNOW! We talked some more, I ate half, and left out......P.S., I got home about 2 hours later, put some Valentina on it, and it was THE BOMB! I hope there's some stocked up before the next time I go, but I'll bring my own just in case.
Came here several times for burritos. The burritos taste fine. I may like Qdoba or Chipotle more. Their baby size burritos are enough for me when I am not hungry. Their service depends on who is the server today. Glad to see their training on servers better from the period during the quarantine when their service really dissatisfied me.
Went to the Grandview location for lunch on 12/6/23. The lady working there was rude and basically wouldn't let me order anything other than the buffalo chicken burrito and some other chicken burrito. She said the create your own option was too expensive. Shouldn't I be the one to decide that? The prices are on the menu. She acted like she didn't want to serve me. I left without ordering. Will never go here again and have told others not to bother.
They have potential. I tried it for the first time and the food was good, but I paid over $14 for a "regular" burrito and small cup of salsa. The burrito was much smaller than a Chipotle burrito (maybe half the size) and I generally only pay around $9 for that. I paid extra for multiple ingredients that were left out of the burrito. Some of the rice was hard and dry. I could see myself raving about this place had the portions been larger and included the ingredients I ordered. At the current price point for an average sized burrito, it's not worth the cash. It is a cute spot. Vegetarian options: The vegan chorizo is good. It kind of had an Indian cuisine flavor to it.
