Awesome service! Great environment to enjoy on a date. Food a beer were awesome. The admiral bird is one of a kind Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly place
I met my now husband here for the first time meeting up and making freinds here. Now I come here EVERTIME im in now (I live kinda far away) the baos, specifically the chicken here are my all time favorite and the rice bowls. The staff here is always kind and welcoming, even when they slammed packed with people they forget about their customers!
The location was great, a quick walk down from our hotel. They do serve beer on draft. You just look at the back wall. I think having a small menu helps the chef big time. I do like the fact that you can watch the chef prepare each meal. Our server was this cute old gal. She was full of jobs and kept the lunch light. Thank you!
My family and I celebrated a birthday here. The staff were incredibly friendly and the food was good. The spicy shoyu ramen broth was on the salty side. I don't have a picture of it, but the scallion pancakes were delicious! Totally recommend trying Big Hammock for relaxed drinks & delicious Asian inspired dishes. Vegetarian options: limited vegetarian options Parking: Street parking nearby. No lot.
1st time visiting. Not a huge atmospher but with the ceiling and mixture off high top tables, bench/chairs and bar seating. Most of building was filled up with music playing and had no problem talking at a normal level. Menu is small which was completely acceptable due to trying 3 appetizer 2 Ramen bowls and a pot roast pressed sandwich all very delicious. Blackboard of available brewed beer. You do have the option to sample b4 you buy. I tried a new beer "your my boy blue" has a hint of blueberry. Definitely will go back. Wheelchair accessibility: There are 2 entrances one to bar area that has a wheelchair accessible entrance , but there are 2 steps down to the rest of the building also where the restroom is located.
Stopped by and had beers and potstickers. Only a could beers brewed by them and a good select of other craft beers. Sat at the ‘bar’ which is set up like a diner. Only complaint beers weren’t real cold.had the meat potstickers they were good though the centers were slightly cold still. Servers were great very friendly. We would give it a shot again.
We went today and unfortunately had a crummy experience. This was my first time going with a group of locals who always rave about this spot- there was only 5 of us and we tried to come in around 1:30. Automatically it looked like the staff was mad that we came in. We stood by the door and waited for a hostess or someone to greet us and no one did. Finally one of my party members went and asked about a table. We understand that it was busy and it’s a small establishment, we were willing to wait. But it was the server’s response that made us want to leave. He had a snarky rude attitude and acted like we were a party of 20. Told us that we should call before we came in next time. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else instead.
Great atmosphere and food. The staff is always attentive and friendly. The food is priced we'll and delicious! Our favorite is the beer cheese with pretzel and scallion pancakes with pork butt. Great selections of beers too.
We stopped in here to check it out. We each had a beer. The pineapple cider was very light and refreshing. The black oil coffee stout was rich and perfect. The pot stickers were better than what you would find at any Asian restaurant. The scallion pancakes were stuffed with pulled pork and roasted veggies. The Asian philly was fantastic. We plan on going back and trying more of the menu and specialty beers. Our server was friendly and made fantastic recommendations (try the Greek potato salad if it's available). This place was filled with great positive vibes.
A must visit while you are in Ocalca! Amazing food and wonderful service by Josh and Justin. We ordered Ramen bowl, Gioza and a fresh cold beer..it was just what the doctor ordered!
