Day bartender was fantastic (John) for lunch. Visiting the area before moving here and love NOLA. Very well stocked bar and good background music. Excellent environment! Plan to bring a friend that shares my NOLA love when I move here .
Hey Google. Isn’t there something inherently illegal and deceptive about editing people’s reviews with fake accounts of their experiences? This place is awful. How dare you rewrite my review and say otherwise.
Awesome bar and restaurant! Nice to see a place with great live music.
Worst mixed drinks and food ever Extremely overpriced
I was SO surprised by Big Easy Bar this weekend. I saw on Instagram that they have Lost Creek oysters so I went to their menu and saw they slow roast them flash fry their wings and use a dry rub, so I decided to give this place a shot. My husband and I popped in on Saturday and had oysters and the wings. The rub was fantastic and honestly, these are tied with Hattricks for our favorite wings in town. The bartenders were all great. The cocktail menu is great as well. We will definitely be back soon for more wings!!
My wife and I visited this restaurant today. I had my favorite dish,Gumbo. On my first bite, I got a spoonful of okra stem. The Gumbo was bland at best. I needed a lot of Cristal hot sauce. My wife got red beans and rice and bread pudding. Zayetins box mix tastes better than their red beans and rice and the bread pudding was burnt around the edges. All in all, a very disappointing meal. My wife and I ate frequent visitors to New Orleans. I was underwhelmed by this restaurant. I drove 70 miles one way with high expectations for some good cajun food. At least our server was nice. I won't be returning.
The shrimp po boy used to be my fav but they switched from the hoagie to this dry ciabatta bread. Maybe it would’ve been better if they added butter or toasted it . The shrimp and the remoulade sauce were good though!
