Everything is top rate! Fresh raw bar, delicious entrees, great atmosphere.
Disappointing experience. My friend enjoyed the clams, oysters, and arancini, but my lobster roll had several pieces of shell. I hate to complain, but I couldn’t stomach the rest of the meal. Service was extremely attentive to the table next to us, but it took a long time for me to grab the attention of any server to bring up the problem with my meal. Management was kind enough to come over and explain that they don’t prepare the lobster in house, and sent a free dessert, but we were still charged the full $45 for a meal that was half eaten and not done correctly. I did not request a re-do of the meal, so at least some of the charge should’ve been taken off. I really hate to leave a bad review, but I didn’t get a great reception of concern from staff, so I didn’t feel comfortable bringing up the charge.
Good! What is there to say? If you are looking for a good place to have dinner in the area, B&G Oysters is the place to be. Open kitchen concept to create a bigger space ambiance with slightly limited indoor seating. Surprisingly there were quite a number of tables with kids too! The calamari — you can nevee go wrong with fried food, their raw oysters are amazing! Island Creek will always be the best tasting for me. The cocktail sauce they make is delicious with the oysters as well. For entree the scallops were perfectly cooked, flavors and texture blended well in the dish. As for dessert, banana pudding is banana pudding— maybe also try the chocolate mousse and let me know! Drinks we had the Bee’s Knees cocktail and 1 glass of 2022 Rose. It went perfectly with the apps. The only thing is that we were always asked if we’re done with our plate. Anyway— Til next time! Maybe brunch!
Food was excellent, oysters and the shrimp cocktail were very fresh and the brine was excellent. Best fish and chips and I’ve had outside of London!
If you’re a big fish guy like me I recommend.
