1/2 sandwiches finally!!!!!
The other reviews are true. Speed and efficiency are paramount in an airport restaurant. It took over 10 minutes for my order to be taken, and there were 2 customers ahead of me. 20 minutes after the order was placed, the sandwich was still not completed and I had to depart to my flight without it. The two visible employees seemed terribly overwhelmed and the one managing the register would frequently disappear, making it hard to order or check in on an order. Somehow, 30 minutes was not sufficient to make a handful of simple sandwiches for the handful of customers.
This was the second-worst sandwich I have eaten in my life. I remember the worst, and expect to remember this. The only thing that made it not the worst was that the bread wasn’t awful. The turkey was dry, it was poorly made, and the “avocado” was just the thinnest spread on the bread I have ever seen. The price was ridiculously high, and service was terrible. Unfortunately, there aren’t many options in this airport, but fortunately much better sandwich shops exist in Tucson.
The sandwich was absolutely delightful and Sharon is probably one of the best employees I have ever seen working at a quick service restaurant. So happy, so accommodating and just overall contagiously cheerful.
Amazing place! Today I’ve got the cinnamon roll and cup of coffee! Tasted great! The service was spot on!
Pretty good egg sandwich. ironically given the name of the place the bread was the least inspired part of it. surprisingly affordable for airport food.
This location is not representative of the others in Tucson. When I walked up around 10am, the cashier first said, “We’re closed.” She was joking, obviously. Then she told me they weren’t doing lunch yet, which is pretty weird to me considering that the burger and bagel places nearby were. Fine-I ordered some cheese and bacon sandwich. 20 min later I get a pathetic sandwich. I was the only customer. Beyond bread is one of my favorite Tucson restaurants, but I’ll never stop here when flying again.
