Bevri - Los Altos

Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday afternoon with my family and didn’t know what to expect, as none of us had ever tried Georgian food before. We ended up LOVINGGG the wine, the food, and the staff (possibly the manager or owner?) who was hysterical and made sure each of us, especially my mother had a good time. We live over an hour away but would definitely come back!

Fantastic! The best part: the FOOD The WORST part: the forced extra 20% tacked on to one's bill with the note: "This is not a gratuity." Unfortunately, according to the servers, none of this goes to them!! Which causes me to scratch my head wondering why I'm not allowed to tip the wonderful server. Frankly, if the owner just wants more money to cover costs, why doesn't s/he simply correspondingly increase the food prices 20%. Is this because s/he feels it would frighten people away? In reality, this is what the owner is doing, at any rate by making diners pay an additional 20% to their food.....with none of it going to their help. Very sad.

In the same day I learned about Georgian cuisine i got to try it. It was delicious!! I'm a cheese lover for sure and definitely got my fix here. Great option for going with folks who are vegetarian. The Khachapuri imeruli (pizza looking one) was delicious and had crazy good stretch. It was so fun to watch them mix in the raw egg and butter in the Khachapuri adjaruli. The mkhlovana (new) had the most flavor because of the pesto, but I liked all the other dishes as well mostly due to the RICH flavor and gooey texture of the cheese (it was also NOT too oily at all). The bread part on all the dishes was soft and wonderfully complemented the cheese! The restaurant is nicely decorated and well lit. It was quite busy on a friday night. There's some street parking outside. They have a nice menu from scanning and paper menus and the staff are super friendly and helpful -- filling waters, allowing me to take pics, were very sanitary when mixing the khachapuris.

The best place ever, especially i loved the fast and friendly service.

I had an extremely wonderful time dining at Bevri! I was excited to try Georgian food as I've never really had that cuisine before. The whole menu was surprisingly unique and I tried a little bit of everything. My favorite was definitely there kachipuri which is a Georgian cheese bread boat. Absolutely delicious and would order again! The cheese was extremely gooey and multi and I loved the flavors. This is definitely something you have to share. I also ordered their pork dumplings, which was kind of like a soup dumpling. It had amazing flavor! A huge plus is there a great cocktail menu. I absolutely loved the assortment of cocktails they had and they even had zero proof.
