It's nicely decorated with middle planes, and war/service elements. The counter girl was helpful and nice since it was our first time there. Food was ok, not bad but nothing to write home about.
If you want great food with good portions, THIS IS YOUR PLACE! I was able to feed 6 people (with 4 milkshakes) for under $100.00. They offer Military discount (ID card must be shown) and the guys working have great attitudes! When I'm back in the area, I will be back! Thanks guys!
The food was delicious! We both had burgers with fries and a shake. It was all so good! The atmosphere was alright—some WW2 posters on the yellow walls, which was nice, but other than that it was a bit dingy and drab like an old diner. We didn’t mind though. The thing we didn’t like however was the service—in particular, the unfriendly attitude of the server/cashier. He brought out our food and our drinks separately. Both times we each said “thank you” to him. And both times he never even responded—never said “you’re welcome”, didn't even smile. He just sat our food on the table and walked off. He never came back, never asked if we needed anything else, never checked to make sure the food was okay. Normally, we leave a 20-25% tip to our server when eating in restaurants. We left this guy nothing because of his attitude toward us. Even though we really loved the food, because of the unfriendly server we won’t be back.
The food was good and the staff was decent. On St. Patrick's Day the establishment was really busy but they did greet us. My family and sister in law were very pleased with the food. Parking: Be sure to read the street parking signs, certain times of day it's free and on holidays it can also be free.
Four stars because this place is struggling with a lack of staff. Need some numbers in there. The current employees were fantastic but you could tell they were struggling to keep up with all the customers. Idk if you need to pay them more or just hire more but I probably wouldn't come back because of that. Ownership was lacking in taking control of that. Food was good and not too expensive though.
Betty Bombers, no frill good food. Easy as that. Burgers were solid, we had the plain hamburger, a plain cheeseburger, had cheese steak, and spicy burger (I think fire in the hole), chicken tenders. Everyone liked their food. No complaints.
