The birria tacos are amazing

The complimentary salsa is excellent. There seems to be a sort of Indian flair in the Mexican dishes. I believe I tasted a bit of curry in the shrimp, and I really enjoyed it. Apparently Besos is under the same ownership of the previous restaurant which was Indian.

Fun trivia night, the waitress was working her butt off with no other help.

Food was awful. Food had no flavor. Enchiladas looked like they had put a can of tomato paste on top of them. First and last time going.

Stop trying to sell tequila/CBD while people are eating.

1st visit. Nice atmosphere. Food was good. I ordered a steak and shrimp fajita. It came with lots of steak, shrimp, onions and peppers but only 2 palm sized tortillas. A very small amount of lettuce and diced tomatoes. Also came with black beans. I ordered a frozen margarita which came in a juice cup and tasted like a melted slushie. The waitress was nice but slow in bringing our order. Because it's a recently opened restaurant I may come back and give it a 2nd chance. Parking: Be prepared to walk because parking was not available in front or beside the restaurant and there's a lot of permit parking only in the area.

HOME RUN BY THE RIVER! Please do yourself a fever and stop by when you arrive in the RVA and or before you leave!
