I am not a sushi guy and was doing a good thing for wife. I will probably be the one asking to go back. Just went the other day, so I need to add some stuff. Our favorite sushi place in Denver, and given that we are landlocked, you should pay attention to that. Kayla was AWESOME. And smart. And efficient. I am not a sushi guy, but this place has high level stuff. The Echigo Flying IPA is good, and a good single choice to carry as an IPA. We had the chili crisp tuna, spicy tuna (yes, I like tuna), the shrimp, and the blue crab. Pay the money for the premium wasabi. Worth it. Great atmosphere, spacious bar. Plus, the other workers buy into the system, and your can truly feel when a restaurant does that. It comes from above, but the trickle down effect of the training can be felt at every seat, every table. Highly recommend. MY MOST RECENT VISIT: Always a great experience, and here to add to the details about our last visit. They only have a bar area, and no white table cloths, but I think that is why my wife and I love this place. You watch them make your food, and it is on point. Shout out to Chris, who made our experience perfect even though it was Friday and it was slammed. I recommend (well, my wife orders everything) the yellowtail sashimi, blue crab hand rolls, spicy tuna, spicy shrimp, premium lobster, but...everything has been good in our 4-5 visits. They have an IPA if you like that. The Echigo is cheap and delicious. There is parking in the back, and I only mention that because it took us 2-3 visits to realize this. If in the area and liking sushi, you should go here, and there is an awesome dive caddy corner (Crow Bar) if you want to get crazy afterwards. Thanks again, Chris, for the awesome experience. Fantastic classic Tamaki (hand roll sushi) priced really well for the quality! However, they desperately need more staff. I’m aware that the entire US is short staffed right now, but every time we’ve been in there’s only one person working. She’s serving, rolling and bussing. The girls working her hiney off!!!!

Excellent hand rolls and friendly staff. Counter seating only makes it a fun and semi intimate vibe. Don’t order the miso or edamame bc both came out cold but otherwise the food is phenomenal. My wife like this place and the sister restaurant for date nights.

Maybe open, maybe closed. Who knows. No info on website or voicemail. The hours on the door suggest they should be open. So...good luck, I guess.

They have the same fish distributor as Uchi and Sushi Den, so same quality fish for a fraction of the price. If you like classic, uncomplicated sushi, this is your place. Chris really hooked it up for us.

Kayla and Alex gave us the best service we have had in a long time. All the fish was fresh and drinks were so good! Bring all your friends, family, or perfect for a date night! Plus prices didn't break the bank! Definitely coming back again soon.

The nori for the rolls were brittle and flaky and the veggies were not very fresh, nor were the wasabi or ginger. The miso was very bland. We did not receive ramekins for soy sauce, a sauce which was necessary for enjoying these rolls. Our shot (not bottle) of sake cost $17. It is overlit and poorly decorated. All this said, the staff were attentive, fast, and very welcoming. I just don't think they know much about sushi.

I have dined here around 6 times now. Every single time the quality of the food and the service have been excellent! Try the Chili Crunch Tuna!
