We have been to Bergerac a half dozen times and they never fail. This is a small establishment serving excellent country French cuisine in an unpretentious yet elegant setting. The food and ambience is appropriate for a quiet romantic meal or a fun event with 6 friends. The cassoulet is fabulous as well as the duck confit and rabbit (when on the menu). Appetizer options are many, we have enjoyed the pate plate, beet salad, and of course the escargot. Desserts: love the Il flottante and pot du chocolate. Wine selection is modest but appropriate, ranging from $35 beaujolais to $75 burgundy, enough variety to satisfy. My advice for less hungry eaters is the $55 prix fixe, one do the appetizer and main, the other do the main and dessert. You can’t go wrong with the full prix fixe, portion sizes are generous but not overwhelming. It is possible to order individual dishes, and we have even gone just for a dessert and champagne. Charming restaurant with owners there every night, a real gem.

Great French restaurant. Escargot was excellent. Filet de boeuf was perfectly cooked and extremely flavorful. Desserts were graciously proportioned and hit the spot. Nice selection of wines at a fair price. Service was friendly and warm and not at all pretentious or overbearing. I look forward to returning.

Excellent. The best cassoulet I’ve ever had. And so welcoming a place, little neighborhood French place.

Fine dining in Woodstock? WHY, YES! If your looking to impress or just want amazing food, look no further. Michelle makes you feel welcome and takes all the time you need, while efficiently keeping the whole restaurant happy. This gem is offering up French food that is both beautiful and delicious. And the portions are not miniscule! Don't worry if some of your party isn't into escargot, there are options for every hungry pallet. You can't go wrong with the steak! If you haven't tried this place yet, you're missing out. Hurry! Make a reservation! (but leave the kids at home... make it date night! )

The food was extremely good. A bit of rustic French with a nice relaxed environment and good service. We plan to go back soon.

. Some friends and I went there based on the high reviews. We walked in got our table sat down. The place was full. I’m thinking this is go be go. Some great hitters on the menu ordered f, took a bit to get the drinks out but that’s cool we were not in a hurry Ordered the escargot, so sad they tased like bad quality canned snails that they shove them into nice looking snail shells, they didn’t have that snap and firmness I was hoping for, just mush. I did eat them all though. I liked the garlic butter part. Then I get the cassoulet, I love cassoulet what I got was definitely not cassoulet it was a bowl of half undercooked white beans and parsley with garlic.this pice of pork belly that shape had no rhyme or reason and very small and heavily salty, the sausage was this small nub like thing that had decent flavor, then the duck confit, looked like it was already chewed up more bone then meat and holy salt bomb( I understand how duck confit is made) it felt like the duck fat or what ever fat they braised it in needed to be changed out , and maybe the cooks need to taste their product before sending it out, it was embarrassing and they painted Dijon on the rim of the bowl so it’s hard to move your bowl with out getting Dijon on everything I had to ask the server for a napkin so I could wipe it off, the presentation looked like it was slingshotted into the bowl zero finesse, I couldn’t eat it which is a shame I love cassoulet and was excited about it, the server asked me how it was and I did tell her over salted and undercooked beans, she said she would tell the chef. And offered to buy me dessert, witch I took her up on it, the server was on point but to bad the food was not.
