Bento Boys

The sushi, bento boxes, and hibachi were all awesome. Sadly we stopped by this morning and there’s a sign that they’re permanently closed…will miss a regular Sunday lunch spot.

Allow me to preface by stating: Not A Chat GPT Review! My wife and I came in from our of town and I required sustenance IMMEDIATELY! The bar I set for "Bento Boys" was not only low, it was non existent. So when I say the I wasn't expecting a revelation with their scallop hibachi I MEAN IT! .... But then they delivered! And what they delivered was phenomenal! If you are a conesur of sorts, and in the area, then do yours buds of taste a favor and give them the rendezvous with perfection that they deserve. In conclusion, I give these Boyz of Bento two enthusiastic thumbs-up!

Update: won't be going back. Everything was overcooked, rice was mushy. Not much flavor overall. Place smelled bad, had leaking toilet, just didn't feel clean overall. Service was good, but we were they only ones there. Original: Didn't love it but it wasn't bad. I don't like the creamy ginger dressing though. Creamy ginger is so weird and I've literally never seen it outside of Greenville Asian restaurants. Anyway I heard this place was really good on Reddit, but it just didn't have a ton of flavor. Tuna in tuna roll was mealy.

Tried this place for the first time and got their steak hibachi. The food wasn’t bad but after about 20 minutes and I immediately felt sick and started vomiting a few hours later.

Food is usually good.tge place is dark and the tables always seem sticky. Service is slow. Today, my food was swrved to another table(only 2 tables in use). She went to check the ticket and realized it was mine, not theirs and took it back to the kitchen. She then grabbed my husbands plate and brought both to our table. I asked point blank if this was served to the other table and not remade. She assured me it was not given to someone else. I cannot believe that as i watched her walk it back and there was not time to remake it. So disgusted. I will not return.

It's small yet the quality and quantity of food here is outstanding! Let me start with the green tea because the comparison to "green tea" in the U.S.A does not come close to the green tea here! It is a Japanese product tea but there's a velvet texture to it. Hubby ordered the chicken hibachi plate opting out a couple veggies he cannot consume and it still had a savory and tenderness to both protein and sauteed veggies. Even the rice had its own unique flavor but it wasn't a soy sauce base. They flavoured the rice that still held its soft dexterity without over frying the rice. Both of my children loved the chicken tempura, which was crispy and light in the batter and flavour. We opted out of zucchini and onion (for the kids) but the carrots was soft, and possibly enriched with a savory yet slightly sweet sauce. The size of the bentos are worth the price, especially when it comes with a creamy, semi-sweet dressing salad and miso soup which both sides dishes has its own flavour profile. The atomic bomb sushi is slightly larger in circumference than most sushi I've eaten yet the quality was well-made with everything being fine-tuned ratio. Hubby even said the food was worth the prices and wishes to come back again. The customer service was well accommodating as our family has sensory and food allergy issues. They may not have a kid section on the menu but there are a few menu items that are kid friendly. Overall a great place for family or a casual place for friends!

Incredibly fresh sushi, great portion sizes, and kind staff.

I had a terrible experience. My steak was bland and tasteless. We had to pay $1 for soy sauce because we did not want white sauce, and they were really rude. I will not be back.
