bussing food, great music and a lot of space to eat food with friends or loved ones. Great guys who give recommendations and they listened to everything we said.
Best bbq in the city hands down.
I was missing Franklins & Terry Blacks so decided to stop by for BBQ lunch. Well, I’m glad I did because this was sooo good! The side ribs & fatty brisket were on point, loved the peppery bark & the glaze on the ribs . Usually I’m not a huge fan of sausage but the spicy Italian one was amazing, so much flavour I didn’t even need to dip it in the BBQ sauce. I wish I didn’t live downtown because I would be here every week!
Ok so I took one bite of the pulled pork and was transported back to my childhood in Texas. Wow! Yum! The chopped brisket was also on point - smokey and delicious. I tasted the smoked turkey breast and side ribs as well which were both very legit TX quality BBQ yumminess. Atmosphere - a little bare naked but all good. Music was fun and the service was great. I'm looking forward to coming back in the warmer months to have a true TX backyard BBQ experience but it was a warm and welcome escape during this chilly winter day in Toronto! The Mac and cheese is also very good. Yes, I ate way too much and now I'm gonna go sleep it off! Check this hidden midtown gem out, y'all! Vegetarian options: Potato salad, Mac, Mac salad, coleslaw, cornbread
Great bbq spot I tried the beef rib special, and it was amazing. Great coleslaw too. Amazing staff
Please don't tell anyone about this place. I need my fix, and I don't want them to run out before 4pm Seriously though, this place is a neighborhood keystone. It's like having a backlot smokehouse, out in the country. The space smells like wood chips, smoke, an BBQ sauce. The buzz of people after 4pm is energizing, the music is playing, and the food is amazing. The side ribs and potato salad are literally all you need to keep a smile on your face all day. The "platter for one" is a LOT of food, that's why I prefer to get the ribs + potato salad. And remember to ASK for your brisket fatty, to get that silky smooth sweetness to the maximum.
As legit a bbq spot you will find in Toronto. Side ribs were probably the best I've ever had.
Got the special of the day (burnt ends) smaller portion (by the looks of it) but quite hearty and filling. Comes with a slice of bread and some pickles/pickled onions. Add some BBQ sauce for extra flavour. Meat was tender, fat rendered and crispy on the outside. Incredible flavour and definitely worth a visit. Looking forward to trying the brisket next time.
Had the ribs and potato salad, it was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed it… I own a seasonal bbq place(won’t list it) but I would order from here anytime.
