Food was delicious was the best experience would highly recommend♥️

I would leave 0 stars if possible ,I’m absolutely disgusted and disappointed to say the least I wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody, first the soup and salad were so disgusting and tasted awful ,we ordered hibachi chicken , and the splash n meadow , both ordered no veggies with the meal , the cook put zucchini on our plates and tried to proceed with putting onions on our plate after we said multiple times we didn’t order that , then later within the cooking he asked if we wanted mushrooms … I repeated to him again we didn’t ask for veggies ! The cook was also making the food completely wrong and even the other people at the table were looking at him as if he we cooking wrong but never spoke up about it, we were also over charged with “chicken fried rice” that we didn’t even order and were comped for only one of them … 100% will never be returning . It’s ridiculous to have to speak to 4+ people and not one single person was help and they all acted confused at the issue , they definitely need new staff or overall management/ownership…why is rice extra when it should come with the meal ?? At Other hibachi places the meal comes with tbe main entree you select , noodles,rice and veggies . And if you don’t want one of the items you can sub for a double of something ..this place charges extra for all of the sides as to why it’s so expensive , tbe portion size is not up to par with how much money you are scammed, as to reading other reviews this place has a bunch of problems and need to do better !

I’ve been coming to this Benihana for over 15 years and the last year every time I’ve ate diner here it’s has been nothing but disappointing. The only reason I didn’t give 1 star is because of my past good experiences. I came for dinner today without reservations and the host told me they could not seat me until 8:30, I told them that open table showed openings for 6:45 which is why I didn’t make a reservation and the host said no there’s nothing open. We went and ate dinner at the bar and I also at the same time went into open table and made a 6:45 reservation, which Benihana confirmed and even texted me to notify me my table was ready 15 min early at 6:30. So I’m not sure why I was denied service at the hibachi table without them even checking the availability and then telling me they had no possible way of seating me until 8:30, but I was able to make a reservation online which they confirmed. Like I said we ate at the bar anyway and the waitress was great but the food not so much. My boyfriend and I both got the filet and colossal shrimp with fried rice, which was awful, the filets appeared like two different cuts of meat, and I could not even eat most of mine, the colossal shrimp was also over cooked and rubbery and the fried rice tasted like white rice. I asked the server for new rice which she said was fine and she came out less then a min later with the same rice, just covered in soy sauce and the bowls extremely hot from microwaving the rice and told us the chef made it fresh. I was a waitress for years and know the plate and bowls get hot from either sitting under the light or being microwaved. When she asked if the rice was better I couldn’t even get my self to lie and told her it was still awful but don’t worry about taking it off the bill even though she offered. My entire experience was already ruined and the factor that they didn’t even respect their customers enough to make new rice when spending $100+ on two meals is disheartening. Like I said I’ve been here 4 times in the last year and if the 4 times I was never once served good food but kept giving them a chance in hopes that they would be as good as they used to be. At this point after another awful experience I don’t think I can give them another chance in the future. There are dozens of hibachi restaurants in the area that are much better and at least respect their customers enough to give them fresh food when their food isn’t up to par.

I took my kids for the dinner but very poor customer service maybe they treat people differently.I spent $380 for i don’t know what my kids came home hungry & I had to get a pizza on a way home.

Let me start by saying the waitress and chef were fantastic. The food was pretty solid as well. The Atmosphere is stressful with it being so cramped and the lobby is a nightmare. People leaving and having social meeting in the lobby as people are waiting to be seated is irritating as there is limited space and it gets loud. All in all it wouldve been a decent experience had it not been for a crowded lobby during a 55 minute wait (With a reservation).

I’m very sad !! I hate to report news that’s not good however reviews are good for who ever I can help . Took my family here for a birthday celebration. Service was not all that good , she didn’t bring rice till we were near done eating . For 7 people and to spend little over 350 you’d think the food quality would be far better than average . It was not !! When we arrived my wife made it known we had a birthday in out party and we were told no problem we will sing and have a celebration. Well , they forgot … My wife ended our evening with a chat with Chong the manager , it just didn’t end well … not a question , we will never return and from the managers reaction I don’t think she cares . What a shame high expectations turned really sour … Pittsburgh offers several other hibachi restaurants
