⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Betelmann's Bar at The Carlyle in New York is an absolute gem! From the moment you step through the doors, you're transported to a bygone era of glamour and sophistication. The atmosphere is simply enchanting, with dim lighting, plush seating, and a sense of old-world charm that makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. Whether you're enjoying a pre-dinner cocktail or unwinding after a long day of exploring the city, Betelmann's Bar provides the perfect ambiance for relaxation and indulgence. One of the standout features of the bar is the hand-drawn murals that adorn the walls. These intricate artworks tell a story of The Carlyle's rich history and add a touch of artistic flair to the space. Each mural is a masterpiece in its own right, showcasing the talent and creativity of the artists who brought them to life. Whether you're admiring the murals, sipping on a classic cocktail, or simply soaking in the ambiance, Betelmann's Bar is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience the timeless elegance of The Carlyle. I can't wait to return and create more unforgettable memories in this iconic establishment.

I went here for a drink to relax and enjoy myself. The ambiance is very nice , the staff very friendly from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out. This is top of the line service. I only had drinks and the treats they place on the bar, but it was quite an experience. Will definitely visit again.

We had a good experience at first at this bar. However, me and my girlfriend in the middle of our experience were told to “shush” and “keep our voices down” by one of the male maitre d. There were no tables around us. I had asked if we were bothering anyone around us, and we felt bad as if we were being too loud. This wasn’t the case. This is ridiculously unprofessional, and we felt it was sexist behavior. No one was complaining, we weren’t speaking too loud and not conversing anything inappropriately. Horrible experience, and fairly upsetting after spending over $100 on drinks…But if you’re a man, feel free to talk as loud of you want, i’m sure it won’t bother them.

My girlfriend and I were abruptly told to be quiet even though no one was dining near us. We were discussing business matters when a male server approached us telling us we were too loud, and told us to be quiet. Very unprofessional, will not be dining here again.

Tops! Great drinks, food and live music what else could you ask for. Plus the prettiest place around. We arrived around 10:30 pm and it was packed on Thursday but lucked out with a table right away. The service and staff is impeccable. I love all the different rooms of the hotel to eat or have a drink. The restaurant and champagne bar are both incredible as well. A memorable experience and can’t wait to return. Very elegant and upbeat. Great vibe.

Historical and iconic place where we thought of giving a try to see if we can get a table in the piano bar considering how difficult it is normally to get in and we are not staying in the hotel. Upon arriving we were told there might be 25 mins waiting time to get a sit-down table for 4 so we decided to give a try and wait for it. There were only a couple who were ahead of us but eventually they kicked off with the hotel manager and left so we ended up being in the first of the line. People were accumulated so swiftly at the glass door where the queue starts and we were very lucky given a table after 10 mins. The atmosphere was excellent but very busy. We were served as soon as we sat down while we were waiting for the other 2. A coverage charges $35 per head for a sit-down table so they didn't't end up staying. We tried countless cocktails and they were all excellent! Snacks were provided and I ordered waygue beef sliders as I didn't enjoy my dinner at The Mark Hotel across the road. The sliders were delicious. Our waiter Leo was excellent and suggested some great cocktails. The bar manager was outstanding in clearing a few groups of people who were not supposed to dance or standing right in front of the piano and next to our table. The musicians who played and sang throughout the night from 9:30 were extraordinary and we enjoyed our evening here thoroughly. Worth every single penny.
