Everything we ordered was delicious!
This is a hidden gem! Everything was so delicious, the atmosphere and vibe was very unique. I would definitely dine there again
We booked a table weeks in advance with the the idea to stay for cocktails at the bar after dinner. When we checked in with the waitress she confirmed this would be possible. After dinner we went up to the bar where 2 seats were available but a group had put their coats on these seats so we asked one of the employees if we could be seated. They told us we should ask the people who had put their coats there. Then this rude American girl said they were with a large group and people might or might not still join. The B&E employee did nothing about this and we left. The general etiquette in NYC is that if your group isn’t complete then you can’t be seated so I am wondering how they could hold seats for their imaginary friends. The food itself was okay, tasty enough for a vibey place. One of the new waiters at the table was very friendly and the service during dinner is pretty quick. Bouncers are friendly too. Oh, and 15 usd for a portion of regular fries is really just too much.
Vegetarian options: I’m vegetarian and i recommend the Jambalaya Rice and the Chocolate cake with peanut butter! Amazing!
Great service, food and atmosphere
I visited this hidden gem of a restaurant for the fourth time and once again, it didn't disappoint. Even though I was late for my reservation, the staff were accommodating and held my table, which I appreciated. The speakeasy vibe is cool and makes for a unique dining experience. The menu, including a red velvet waffle and short ribs Rancheros, was tasty and perfect for sharing. It's definitely a spot worth coming back to, especially during restaurant week for a good deal.
