Several years ago something happened and the customer service was terrible. However, I gave them another try because I love their coffee. Over the past year the service has been exceptionally good with quick delivery and the same great quality. I would suggest giving them a try.
I have been ordering from them for more than 5 years and only once was my order delayed, and that was around the time of the flooding in Nashville. The beans are fresh and the flavor is great. I am about to place another order for 10 pounds of beans.
Placed an order for some Malabar Gold, some Frog espresso, and some Oodles flavored. All were whole bean. Coffee arrived a couple of days later and I could tell it was fresh. Used both espressos in my aero press and they were out of this world. The Malabar crema is phenomenal. Enjoy doing a flat white with it but it’s also great on its own. The Frog espresso is as good as the Malabar. It’s balance and flavor profile is spot on. The wife really liked the Frog just as drip coffee. Her favorite, though, was the oodles cinnamon hazelnut. She said it was the best flavor that she’s ever had. I don’t know how these guys do it but they are doing it right. Will definitely be ordering from them again!
I've placed four, 4-8 bag orders since starting doing business with them late 2017 and have had no problems in receiving orders in a timely manner or any suspect billing. I enjoy the Panama Red's bold flavor and the Costa Rican Terrazu is consistent. I don't give 5 stars to anybody for anything, unless they can walk on water, so good job!
Beware. Bean Central will charge you, not ship your coffee, and ignore followup requests. We are currently disputing credit card charge for 5 lbs not received, ordered 6 weeks ago. No response from Bean Central.
DO NOT BUY COFFEE FROM THIS VENDOR! I put my first sentence in all caps for a reason. In February of this year I ordered a pound of coffee. Three weeks went by and no coffee. Sent them emails with no response. Called them, nobody answered, and it went right to mailbox and the recording said the mailbox was full. So I sent them an email and cancelled the order. This month, April 2017, thinking there was just a glitch with my Feb. order, I again ordered a pound of coffee and same thing - no coffee, no response to my emails, and forget the phone; no one answers. I filed a complaint with PayPal so we'll see how that goes. Got to thinking about the order I placed in February. Sure enough, my credit card was charged, no refund when I cancelled the order so now Bean Central has $43.90 of my money and I have no coffee. Obviously the company has some serious issues going on. If you order, they will rip you off - you've been warned.
Use to be great as far as quick shipping, but the last year delivery has been non-existent. Emailed numerous times with no response although they have my money and waiting on 2 orders. I use to use often for gift giving, but no more as can not depend on getting product. Sad as their coffee is pretty good stuff.
I would go below 1 star if it was an option. This company started out great, but the last two orders not so much. My last order says it shipped, I was charged and NO COFFEE!! I have emailed several times with no response and when you call the "memory is full". Now to fight to get my money back. So happy that I get to waste my time (when I'm busy, like all of us) to get my money back. I would be cautious ordering from this site. Very disappointed!!
