While my husband and I did a vacation in Maine, we visited Beal's Lobster Pier twice! We loved it so much that we had go back. Just recently we did a six pack fresh lobster delivery from their pier to our home. It was easy and convenient to order on line. They were fresh and delicious!! The only complaints I had was when I called to ask a question, no one ever returned my call. The other was, when I put in my order before the cutoff time to be delivered the next day, it did not show up the next day as promised. It was delivered the day after that. I don't know if it was FedEx or Beal's who drop the ball on that. Overall the lobsters were a big hit!! Although, the delivery part was messed up. I highly recommend Beal's Lobster Pier hands down!!
Definitely one of the best places to get lobster rolls in Maine, the scenery watching the boats come in is second to none, a must visit for sure. One of the highlights of our Maine trip.
there was a lot of flies but to be honest i went to a lot of places for lobster in maine but this hands down was the best place, every other lobster house had overcooked lobsters
We were here on the last night before their dining room closed for the season. They did not have their full menu but we ordered the traditional lobster roll and a whole lobster. They were both the best we’ve had! The staff really took care of us! Great staff, amazing food, and awesome atmosphere! Would definitely recommend!!
Loved our lunch here! We visited the last weekend they were open so the menu was shortened a little. I had the garlic lovers lobster roll and some steamer clams and my husband had the traditional roll. Both rolls were absolutely loaded with meat and delicious. I do wish my garlic lovers had a lot more garlic. The steamer clams were my favorite part of the meal. They were so salty and delicious! The views from the restaurant were my favorite.
First experience with a garlic butter lobster roll. Fantastic! So glad we made our way to Beal's!
Tucked on a pier on Southwest Harbor, removed from the throngs of tourists in Bar Harbor, Beal’s Lobster offers a quintessential Maine lobster shack/restaurant experience on Mount Desert Island. One walks up to a large ordering counter to review a board that details the plentiful food offerings, many evidently lobster-based. Service is very efficient and pleasant. The lobster rolls ordered were of good quality and delicious, but perhaps a little on the expensive side. Other tables had ordered whole lobsters and seemed to be very much enjoying their choice. The sides were very serviceable. One letdown- the blueberry pie was very average and a small portion. The vistas over Southwest Harbor, the fishing boats, and postcard coastal Maine, made this lunch stop well worth the detour for that sought after very local experience. Recommended.
