Beacon has good music, and nice laid back environment. The bar is never packed and there's room to dance or sit by the fire outside

I’ve been here twice now. The atmosphere is really cute, cozy vibes and good music. The bee room is my favorite and has little honey bee hive to chill in. The drinks are terrible. The cheapest liquor in existence, reminds me of college days. I can only tolerate a vodka cranberry with a lime here. Lots of cranberry and I know I’ll feel terrible the next day

The Beacon is a uniquely immersive space in RINO northeast of downtown Denver.. I appreciate the design that went into the interior and the open air backyard space is also fun. Each room has a different theme. The pizza is tasty. Bartenders are friendly and accommodating.

It was my 21st birthday. And this bar made it such a fantastic experience. I would recommend this bar to anyone who wants to meet new people and have a few drinks. Shout out to Honey and Tracie! I hope I spelled Tracie's name right. She was so amazing, and she's a new bartender there! She worked a back-to-back double. She was so energetic and full of life. She made me two delicious cocktails. Honey was so excellent and sweet to everyone she encountered! I had the best birthday ever, thanks to them! We were bar hopping and stayed here for hours after having poor experiences at other bars. This bar saved the night!

Beacon is always an absolutely magical and connected experience! Love the variety of events/music/theme nights including ones that are specifically more lowkey and friend/community-building, like the recent kandi-making meetup (via Denver EDM Fam<3) and hooping and shuffle (dance) intros/workshops. Also a huge shoutout and thanks to the bouncer Honey, she’s amazing and was so supportive and friendly to our group. I witnessed her proactively looking out for our one new friend/acquaintance who needed a bit more support that evening — Honey is exemplary and went above-and-beyond so she deserves kudos and appreciation for fostering a safe and secure atmosphere for all.

While the decor in this place is nice, the staff is terrible as well as the services received. My fiancée and I attended last night for the first time, paid the $10 cover fee to get in and then another $3 per each coat check, to find the place was over crowded, and thus one could barely move around without stepping/bumping into someone. My fiancée wanted me to wait outside the women’s restroom with her and my drink. While waiting beside a couple of other male partners, I was browsing on my phone and was accosted by a female staff member who stated “I understand you’re waiting on someone in the bathroom, but you need to move away from the women’s restroom”. I was caught off guard by the comment as the staff member clearly knew I was waiting on someone using the restroom, there were other males standing directly beside me who weren’t advised to move, and so I could only assume I was singled out due to the fact that I’m a person of color. Suffice to say, I was quite upset by this interaction so my fiancée and I quickly left after this occurred and don’t plan on ever returning. This sort of discriminatory behavior isn’t something you’d expect to receive in an overwhelmingly liberal area like Denver. In fact, I never even received this type of negative treatment living in the South for several years. Definitely, don’t recommend this establishment to anyone. There are much cooler and kinder bars that treat their patrons more respectful, have $0 or at most $5 cover fees, and don’t create a fire hazard by allowing too many patrons inside in effort to maximize profits accrued on cover fees.
