Be At One - Manchester

Wouldn't let me in because I had a smart pair of jean shorts on, your policy is your policy but I think it's pathetic and nonsensical. A white doorman then went on an ego trip and said he didn't like my attitude, so for context - I said we visit the Newcastle Be At One, and they don't have a problem with shorts at night, so how can policies be different under the same brand or company? He abruptly replied 'well you're not in Manchester are you?' - Then said I'm not coming in not because of the shorts but because of my attitude - I note the reply from the bar management beneath, which is an absolute lie. I had been in the bar during the day, in shorts, I was refused entry for having shorts on, not because of anything else. I think it's disgusting to insinuate there were other reasons why, when I had a lengthy conversation with management who could clearly see I was sober, madness. It's a great bar, the music and cocktails are class, I would still recommend it, but for this ludicrous experience, it has to be a 1 star rating - the false reply from management below is the most disappointing and it's unprofessional suggesting something far from the truth, I had a sober and amicable conversation with the manager regarding the decision and he made it clear at the time it was due to the shorts, so the reply on this post is unjustifiable

Had a great time there last week. My friend and I would like to say that it was lovely to chat to the glass collector (and ace toilet cleaner)called Hope. She was working so hard doing 2 really tough jobs and deserves a lot of recognition for her work - love from Trish and Janet ❤️

Dear Team, I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent experience at your establishment. Despite having a confirmed reservation for 31.03.2024, I was denied entry upon arrival. I understand that clubs have certain entry policies, but I was not provided with a clear explanation for being refused entry. As a result, I am requesting a refund of the amount paid for the reservation. I hope we can resolve this matter amicably and look forward to receiving a prompt response regarding the refund.
