Loveeeee me some of their crawfish!
If I could give BB’s on Richmond an honest review it would a zero. The manager appeared to be prejudice and didn’t want to seat me and my family of 3 after waiting for over an hour. She advised that the kitchen was backed up due to crawfish special. Randy the manager lied and said he wasn’t the person in charge because I asked if we were gonna get seated. He referred me to the assistant manager named Irene. Irene repeatedly lied telling us to give her a few minutes that turned into another 45mins. Then she sent the waiter over to a table we seated ourselves at after being next on the list for an hour. The waiter said, How can I help yall but I my manager told me to tell yall it’s gonna be a long wait for food. Well the restaurant is almost cleared out and still no service. At this point who would even want it. This is too sad. If you can’t handle it then close down. As I was taking photos for this review, Irene passed by my and said, “I love it when they take pics!”. That was so rude and inconsiderate to a valuable customer. She does not deserve to be in management with that sarcasm.
I’m really disappointed with this location as someone who is very loyal to BBs and goes 2 to 3 times a week during crawfish season. I’m just really disappointed at how bad the service has been. I’ve noticed each year it gets worse and worse and honestly, they’ve left me no choice but to Leave a Google review in hopes they will see it. I tried to call the manager couple times to tell them how bad the service has gotten but I was informed they don’t have a manager so I’m hoping they get the hint with this. unfortunately doesn’t matter how busy they are you go to BBs and the service is just not going to be good , we tried different days different times and we have noticed that during the day it’s even worse , the waitresses will stand around and make eye contact with you and see you need help but they just continue to stand around and chat w their friends. When you come in you are expected to sit yourself , My husband and I had to move a couple times in hopes that a waiter would actually come and take our order we started out sitting and waiting for a while inside when we noticed that there was a lot of people outside and the waiters seemed to only be going to take orders outside at that point, so we just decided to move outside, hoping that the waiters would pay attention to us then unfortunately neither one of the waiters still acknowledged us or took our order we arrived at 1 PM waited until 1:31 PM not once had we had somebody help us and that was not the first time this happened. It has happened three times where we’ve had to move seats or try to waive and get someone’s attention and still never got service so we were left with no choice but to walk out and leave and take our business somewhere else , it’s just really unfortunate because we love the food but the service is just absolutely horrible. They also do not dump the bowls full of napkins and crawfish shells when you order the crawfish anymore you have to constantly remind them you have to let them know “My bowl is overflowing with trash”. I don’t know if it’s because of a new staff or what but over the years the service just gets worse and worse, and the waiters sometimes just seem like they do not want to help, it doesn’t help that the food has gone down a bit but again overall I would say the food is usually good but if we’re going to get bad service on top of it, maybe it’s best we just don’t go to this place anymore or at least this location.
Always amazing when I go. Crawfish was good too.
The service and atmosphere is fine. It’s a casual family friends Houston chain. They also have a bar. The food was mid - it wasn’t exceptional or anything I’d rave about. However, I’d go back if my friends wanted to. My boil was somewhat dry and we had to request dipping sauce (and there’s an extra fee). I also wasn’t a fan of the book flavor. My “boozy lemonade” tasted like a non-alcoholic spritz (I wasn’t a fan). Thanks to it being happy hour, I only spent like $22. Dietary restrictions: I don’t eat red meat or pork, so typically I don’t get to have sausage with my seafood boils. To my surprise though, they had chicken sausage as a substitute. I was so happy. It was good too.
