Bayside Cafe

Nothing special. Update : I was looking for a place to have a nice breakfast this morning. I don't know how this place got 4 and 1/2 Stars. It's certainly isn't that it's overpriced and I got sick 2 hours later. It was the only thing I had to eat.

Great little local diner to get a bite. Lovely views of the water as you're walking to/from your car, and some city views, depending on where you sit. Food and service is no-frills and there are not a ton of vegetarian options. The bathroom is outside. A pleasant spot if you need a quick bite.

Came here on a Sunday morning, parking wasn't too bad and it wasn't super busy. Inside the place was clean and simply decorated. I was greeted and helped right away. The prices were reasonably priced, and it was pretty standard for anywhere you go. I ordered 5 items, and it was a little over $100, so I'm not complaining. I'm not going to lie. I double-checked my order because people complained about being double charged... then again, those people only have left 1 review or a handful at that.. so you already know.. the only thing different is, I paid with card and they charged an admin fee for $4 and some change. I do know credit card companies charge a fee for using their machine. I'm guessing they are just passing it on to the customer. Corned beef hash and eggs w/ house potatoes - It was tasty and pretty much what you would expect. House potatoes were well cooked and seasoned Country Fried Steak and eggs combo - Standard country fried steak. Portion was ok, had a little crunch. I liked that they placed the gravy on the side Meat omelette - Has ham, bacon, and sausage. Tasty and not greasy from all the meat. Hashbrowns were nice and crunchy Pancake combo - Good pancakes and combo Overall, the food was pretty basic. Didn't stand out in any way. Not like any flavor explosions in your mouth. I do want to come back and try the chilaquiles, breakfast burrito, and french toast combo.

Not sure how to describe it, a bit chaotic and service was scattered. Ambiance quite disappointed, it feels old and dirty. Breakfast burrito tasted good, but I can't say I was impressed

Ordered 2 Spicy chicken salads overcharged $52.51!! The boiled eggs were Black inside!!! The lettuce was old & withered. Used to be a decent Cafe 5 years ago now its a rip off!!!

Prices are absolutely insane 13 bucks for 2 eggs 5 bucks for a cup of coffee

Food is unbelievably expensive. The minimum to shell out for one breakfast dish is $20. Basic and least expensive coffee is $5. This is a diner next to the freeway. Quality of food was not good. What is the high price for?! I had oily, tasteless heuvos rancheros for $20 here and didn't even enjoy the ambience.

I called in to place an ordered , which was a pork chop breakfast. Menu prices said about $19.00 ( rounding it up ). Got there to pick up my order and the price for my order was $35.00 and some change. When I called in for an explanation, the employee stated that they changed their prices. But this information hadn’t been updated to inform the public.
