Truly disappointed. Finally had a date night with my wife and decided to come here. Upon arrival, the hostess couldn't find my 7:15 reservation. Once she eventually found it and brought us to our table, we were informed the table wasn't ready yet. After waiting and finally being seated, the hostess came back with her IPAD and asked us if we could leave the table in 15 mins for someone else's reservation and that she could move us downstairs until their 8:00 reservation arrived. Me not being a confrontational person obliged even though I was confused as to why we were being force to leave. My wife spoke up and said we had a reservation and weren't leaving. The hostess realized she was wrong and apologized. You would think that was it...but no! She came back and made us move to another table because they seated us in the wrong section . The drinks took over 20 minutes to make as well! Only bright side was the deserts were absolutely amazing and the chef was very pleasant. Would not recommend anyone to come here nor will we be back to be treated so poorly.

This place is lovely. Food was delicious. Swing band was amazing. Only thing was the seat I was in was very uncomfortable. I kept sliding off it, had to really dig my heals on the foot bar to stay up for as long as I could. It got to the point where my legs started to cramp so I asked the waitress if there was anywhere else we could sit. Unfortunately, she was unable to move us but had said there is a chair that's floating around that everything seems to complain about. They just switch it with another one and a new soul gets stuck with it. Please, just replace the chair. It really made it hard to enjoy myself and the music. Ended up leaving earlier than I wanted to because my legs were hurting.

We have been fans of Baxter’s since the opening! It is quite unique with the glamorous atmosphere, always evolving delicious menu, and first rate musical Talent! There truly is NO place like it. PS it’s not just for special occasions! We drive from Emerald Isle to New Bern at least twice a month because it is our favorite.

I love the atmosphere and it’s a great place to hang out. The owners and staff are very personable. Food and drinks are yummy!

Baxter's team of mixologists knows how to craft potent potables that add to your experience. My husband was impressive by their extensive bourbon selection including their option to smoke it. Plus their culinary team's tapas provide the nosh to pair with your libation! The shrimp cocktail was a hit with our crowd! Not up for a night out on the town, then Baxter's brunch is sure to hit the spot. Bottom line...you owe it to yourself to experience Baxter's perfectly paired good libations and good vibrations!
