I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Nepali restaurant, and I must say, it was an incredible experience. The restaurant not only served the most delicious and perfectly spiced Nepali dishes, but the service was also impeccable.
I came here to pick up the order, but the products that appeared to be ready on the system were not prepared, and when I arrived, an elderly employee working at the cash register rudely tried to silence me with his hand, without waiting for me to say the name of the order, and after I explained, he continued his work in an angry manner, telling him not to wait. . If you cannot manage stress and a crowded work flow and be rude to people in a restaurant that attracts a lot of attention, I am sure that I will not come there as a customer.
I am not Indian but I’ve worked in an Indian restaurant, I’ve been to India, and I consider myself an Indian food aficionado… this place is the real deal. Probably the best Indian food I’ve had in Marin and definitely better than other parts of the U.S. Everything we had was homemade, including the chutneys, samosas, etc. the achari eggplant was delicious. My only complaints were that the chicken tikka was prepared more like a malai kebab, and the onion kulcha was stuffed with cheese, which I did not really want, but was still good. Super hidden gem in downtown Novato. Great food, nice people and nice place to eat. This is my new go to in Novato.
Ordered through a delivery app, and only 2 of our 3 items were sent. Pretty disappointing first experience with this restaurant.
