Basho Japanese Brasserie

Food was Awesome! We got the shrimp Katsu bao, wagyu bao, shrimp shumai, spicy tuna on crispy rice, sweet potato roll, snow crab nigiri, lobster tempura roll, and lychee martini. All were phenomenal and good portions music was on point and service was excellent

The food at this restaurant is average at best. I tried their lunch special featuring chicken teriyaki with rice saturated in teriyaki sauce, a sad salad, a bland mushroom soup, and an unremarkable California maki. I requested a miso soup instead of the mushroom soup listed on the menu, but they don't allow substitution which is sad. Despite the steep prices, the quality falls short compared to other Japanese restaurants nearby that has lower prices and better food.

Meh. Waygu steak bowl was shaved so thin, you could see through it I thought I would get some protein, less than an ounce. Portions small, lacked flavor. Ice cream was tasty.
